Thanks @Lil Dab and @BCBudlady! Somebody said the stripes are a common trait in some of the purple strains. I'll keep an eye on them for a while.

Yes, growing a Luv Pink from Magic, a tester, and her undersides of leaves and stems went purple early on. Purple/pink cultivars especially.
I’m a below average organic grower. Right-now nutes don’t happen. Things don’t end well here when I wait until there’s a deficiency.
Anvil is another, always purple.

Started in second grade, 7 or 8 years old, same as you about 3/4 acre of lawn front and back, it had to be cut in two directions with the trimmer mower. I seem to remember it was 26 inches wide? We were not allowed to leave the yard on Saturday until it was done. I remember running as fast as I could behind that mower on the second cut without the basket. It got away from me more than once. Took out some of my moms rose bushes. I got grounded for two weeks for that one. I swear that machine never broke down no matter how many prayers or promises I made to god the night before. This could be why I have mostly concrete in the back yard now - no lawn.

Some say it is from a magnesium deficiency but that is not my personal experience. I just think it is genetic and I ignore it.

How's your grass @Frank the Dank?

Takes me 3 1/2 hours on a 52" riding lawnmower these days. Don't mind it most of the time as I'm either really high or have a camelback full of gin and tonics, or both! The cut gets a little wonky sometimes!

I don't think I weighed 70 pounds in second grade. I wrestled fly-weight my freshman year. I don't think I could have pushed a push mower then. I have 700 sqft. of lawn in the front yard now, I use an electric plug-in push mower. It takes me about 15 minutes to mow. That thing always starts
