I've spent all day prepping for my vacation to California in a few weeks.
I got all of the places I want to go put into google maps, so they are all on my phone.
Once I did that, I realized the hotel I'd booked was a lot further south from a lot of the stuff I want to do that I thought it would be.
The one thing we absolutely are doing on this trip is going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, so when I booked, I booked somewhere around Monterey. Well, we want to do a lot of stuff in Santa Cruz and San Jose, and maybe a day up in San Francisco. So I called the travel agency I used and I said I just need 2 queen beds and a free breakfast, thats my 2 requirements for a hotel. It can be out back in a shed on army cots for all the shits I give, I just want somewhere to sleep and a free meal a day for the kids.
It cost me $270 but its basically shaving 2 hour a day of driving for 6 out of 8 days we'll be there.
