Words have meaning. Don't they?
It's surprising that I have to state that fact to someone, who only speaks ENGLISH, that has an accreditation in the medical field.
Last Wednesday, I had a Dr Appt. Doc said I need a consult. The last thing
he said to me is that they will submit a request for consult to the VA to be seen locally or at the VA and see which gets done first.
With the stupidity I had to go thru in getting my prescription filled AND clarified, I figured I need to see about the status of the request. The SAME PA that was handling the script problem told me that
I need to submit a request for a consult. Yeah, a
patient submitting a request for a specialty consult? What damn world does she live in? In VA
or civilian world, only
DOCTORS can submit a request for a specialty consult!!!!"Oh it would be quicker if YOU submit a request." Well Lady, that's not what I was just told by the VA. I asked her exactly HOW was I expected to do this.......Go to the Dallas VA hospital and say I want a consult? Only a Doc can do that and ya have to have an appt to see a doc! I asked her to call, leave a msg or text with me when she had the form submitted, so I know who to go to in tracking it's progress. "Oh, if I can get to it today." Today or tomorrow, I dont care. Just please get it submitted and let me know...please.
The VA sent them a letter of authorization to treat me out of the VA system. In that letter there is a form and a fax number to submit for consultant treatment. It can be with the VA or civilian sector to complete the consult. Why in the hell did I have to go thru such bullshit to get a
SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL to do their job
PROPERLY?
I have a follow up appt this week and the doc will get informed of the stupidity I've had to deal with. I like this doc and damn sure don't want to find another, but his MA, correction, is going to get him in a medical lawsuit. It's not like this is a consult for something minor. It
could easily be life-threatening!
I don't get the damn work ethics of today..........where the hell are they? My dad drilled it into me. The Navy drilled it into me. I drilled it into me and anyone that worked for me. Communication is key above all things. It is the FIRST step to anything! First thing you learn in shipboard communication is you learn to repeat back the order you were given, in order to make sure you understood the order. Improper communication can get you killed!
I wanna go outside and work off this god-damn NEEDLESS frustration with something
constructive, but it's too damn hot and humid and my pain level
NOW is thru the fucking roof!
I guess it's time to test the last infusion with the worked dry ice shake material and a COUPLE bowls of hash.
I pity the PS4 GTA Online lobbies for the next few hours.!
I gotta work some of this silly shit of today outta my head!
That helped
some! LOL!
