Making up my lil grocery list this morning. Going through cabinets trying to figure out what is close enough to being out so I can go ahead and get it this trip hoping to maybe cut out just one trip to the store later on in the week....Went throgh 3 tanks in the car during wife's little hospital stay...

Where you been @Dabber .................. :pass: ...gutting fish.......?.....................:eyebrows:
Taking a nap tournament was over @ 2am didnt get home till 330 finally got to sleep around 430. I'm up getting ready to go sale a pool after 1 :cooldance:

What's wrong with electric vehicles?

I'm on my third and it is considerably better than the first one. The readily available gen1 cars were, eh, not great on range and charging infrastructure was limited. The new cars, gen2/3, can have 400+ miles of range and charging is significantly easier. The only real downside now is cost. It is a real barrier for most. Same with having a space to charge in at home.

A lot of people lament the range. However, even if your car only got say 300 miles of "range", if you drove 70mph for 4 hours you would need to stop and charge. I don't know a lot of people who can go more than 3 without needing to stop and pee or get gas somewhere in there. Finding a rapid charger needs planning but my current car can get 80% range in 15 min. Thats just enough time to pee, buy a drink, and be ready in a few minutes.

My current car can do 400+ miles on a charge and I cannot drive it all in one shot any longer. The stops help break up fatigue as well.

Not a thing wrong with electric vehicles, when used within the constraints that form of energy has....But when you have a need for highly portable raw power like construction in the field, it's not really feasible. Yet some think it is and push it....those people are scary

OH I about forgot I spend around if I fish 2 tournaments a week fuel for my boat is around 150 per week also.

Couldn't you make do with just a trolling motor and catch the slow fish? :crying:
Nothing is more fun than trolling..

I hear a lot of people say that the vehicle range on one charge, and the amount of time it takes to recharge are two common reasons why they don't like them. But I am like you, my car can get 400 miles to the tank, but I can't even drive that long in a car anymore. The MOST I can go is maybe an hour without stopping now. That is pushing it. Long enough to drive from where I live to Oklahoma City. I understand they are expensive, but how is the cost comparison to a gas engine? Is it worth owning an electric car, or perhaps even a hybrid?
