@Minime2020 ..if that is not a snail...I'd suspect an Earwig........

Earwig damage on a leaf...see how they can eat a Hole in the middle of a leaf...most bugs have to eat from the leaf edge in......your have middle leaf holes....

Lift your pot and see if anyting skuttles out from under it..........make sure you have shoes on if you are going to stamp on it......

Grasshopper maybe? Heads up though, birds will totally steal all your papers if you're not careful, no matter how hot they are. They can't perceive "spicy"

I had to pur pea netting on the canna when I grew it at the house coz the birds would raid the seeded cannabis.......
