Ignore any mess, I'm currently working on my trench for the French drain

The fence is basically completely dry rotted and the posts and beams are only a tiny bit better, so they are going to have to be replaced. Seriously debating building up a small base and doing cinderblocks under them to help alleviate some of the under fence washout as the easement is fairly steep and pretty badly eroded.

You can see here where there has been significant washout from under the side of the shed's slab. The 2'ish span next to the shed appears to have at some point had drainage rock put down and it was the only area on the perimeter of the yard that didn't have the landscaping plastic divider stuff in front of it. Also explains why the yard seems to slope towards the shed. Idiots. Also thinking of shoring up along the back edge of the shed in an attempt to prevent any other erosion from under the slab. Idk. Thoughts?

Look at all of the other neighbors. If they are all in the middle it is one of two things custom or ordinance. If random put the gate where you will.
These are townhouses so its a row that was all built & fenced at the same time. After measuring it's not actually centered but close. Neighbors all appear to be centered but that may have just been cause that's how the company that did them did it. I'll check ordinance though to be sure.

My poor swamp rose died immediately after it got here and I'm very upset about it.
Didn't even get to chose color my latest bare root floribunda..........but if I don't take good care of them I'm gonna hear about it.
Did you at least try cutting it back to promote new growth?

Not yet, its pretty fried. How far back should I take it? I've been watering it to no avail. It was so pretty when it got here but I didn't even think about keeping it inside or whatever till it could go in the ground. It was on the patio so in the shade but the heat has been awful.
