Man night and day difference in the tomato plants in fabric bags and ones in earthboxes!
Harvested these the other day cuz rain and high temps was causing mildew in between the tomatoes growing in tight clusters so figured they could finish ripening inside!
Just went and counted and just the 1 plant that most of that first round of tomatoes came from already has 13 new baby tomatoes! Def helps that this was a heatmaster strain that could handle high temps!
Other plant in same box has a few left to harvest soon and other box has at least a dozen remaining after the few that got lost from mildew!
Gotta go get compost later cuz time to topdress! Forgot I only added food to bottom 1/2 of soil so plants could establish before getting to the grub! I’ll get pics of the side of the house veggies later once it’s not 1,000 degrees outside! I grew tomato plants last year all the way til they died in the freeze and I’ve already harvested more so far then I got all last year combined! Cucumbers also going off and picked several already!
CTG struck right next to us when we turned into the neighborhood. Like, we could feel the concussion from the blast and everything. When we were across town hubby said that it had to be miles away. I was like nope, that's right over our house. He didn't believe me so now he owes me tacos he's used to inland storms, with being right on the coast things are different and I'm pretty good at gaging where storms are after living here most of my life lol
Its recital day and having to get places at specific times is super stressful for me so my anxiety is sky high. Good news is the storm has all but blown over now so we should be ok by the time we have to leave.
