Nope. They're fine together.OK scratch that idea then but BTI and spinosad won't hurt the good bugs right?

I think the best pest control is normal life you get from your own worm bin.....both predator and no-predator. The predators are not really needed if you have a good population of non-predators.I don’t think you need to go the spinosad route yet. If it gets outta hand, then I’d go for it. But for me BTi and sticky traps works great when the population is minimal. You can use mustard seed too when the plants are a bit more established.
Though for me, having a living soil system seems to keep the gnats in check. I’ve seen a few here and there during my current grow but they have never gotten outta hand. I’ve used some mustard seed meal once and keep sticky traps by the stems. So far so good.
Please be careful with those wooden toothpicks. Wood goes moldy very quick in wet soil.We got life both Double Grape and Outlier Z have broke the surface they both had a little helmet head but it slipped right off No life from Walter White pretty sure I see her trying to bust through but not quite yet.. Unfortunately I saw a few Gnats fly out of the pot when I removed the dome to check.. So as soon as i can give them some water they'll all get treated with BTI.. I might sprinkle some DTE under the covers just to get a head of it and get some nematodes coming

I was thinking the same thing. But I still use it in my soilmix. The benefits outway the disadvantages.Diatomaceous earth will kill the nematodes and most beneficial critters
What's BTI? Spinosad affects the nervous system of insects that eat or touch it. And according to this paper is harmless towards nematodes.OK scratch that idea then but BTI and spinosad won't hurt the good bugs right?
