Day 22

I topped em all yesterday and today I pulled some branches down with large staples. This grow is all about seeing if I can shape the plant to match the picture I have in my head as a final result. I’m using the staples for now because they’re a little looser in coco and I’m looking for the plant to be free to pull them up as they grow and I’ll adjust as needed. Got some leaf tucking happening as well in some choice spots. I love to build stuff so I’m excited to try to build a plant to my specs. Happy growing! Peace

Day 27

I‘m really having fun with this grow because the attitude is very different. Now that I know how to have a successful grow it’s like having a blueprint for a good foundation and I can now experiment with different ways to frame my living space. I expect there to be some errors but at least I’ll know they’re not due to the foundation of light, water schedule, and nutes. Thankfully I have this journal to refer to. I’ll need to post a lot now so future Peace knows whats up.

That being said, this first approach has been aggressive at least for me. For five days I’ve been bending, twisting, and turning branches with ties and staples each day, at this point on 2 plants the lower 4 colas will no longer be tied and the uppers will stay for a few more. I released the lower ties each morning before they went to sleep and tied again when they woke. I’ve already lollipopped a lot, differently on each plant, and have cut most fans that were growing to the inside of the plants. I cut a few large upper fans as well because I need to physically see the effects and the difference from the last time where they went untouched til late in the grow. While looking similar, each plant has a slightly different set of plans involving defol/lollipopping effects and canopy levels and the timing involved in each. They look very weird to me after the previous huge bushes but through it all they continue to look happy and perky and green.

This yield will be more a subject of curiosity than a priority. The priority lies in building a few model houses to see if they can weather the elements so I can plan how to fit as many as possible but comfortably on my small parcel of land. Happy growing! Peace

Day 31

The fun continues as I play catch and release with the tie downs and do light defol. I haven’t removed a lot of leaves but it looks that way because I’ve been daring to defol on top with the leaves growing towards the inside of the plant. I’ve also been training the big fans to go down and away, looks like they’re droopy but they’re healthy and strong. I’m happy with the upper canopies being pretty level but even more excited that my lower inside canopies are level. The original blueprint was to build a waffle cone that slowly fills itself up and it’s coming along. I have no idea how this will turn out but it’s great to see them responding healthily to all the crap I’m putting them through. Happy growing! Peace

Day 42

Its been 11 days since the last post and the girls are deep in stretch. Ain’t gonna lie, I’m enjoying just 3 plants and a roomy tent. The Sour Stomper on the left was last to have her tie downs removed so she’s a little shorter than the rest. Skywalker on the right was behind on the stretch and looking like a small plant but has grown 4” in last 2 days. Haven’t posted much due to nothing important to tell my future self, it’s all about reading the plants day by day.

The self filling waffle cone build has been pretty successful. It‘s just defol of leaves growing to the inside of the plant, not training the bottom colas and selective lollipopping. But it has led to strong thick lower bud sites with plenty of room to grow and they’re stacking fat.
Side note…setting up 2nd tent to get a batch of Mephisto Sour Crack going

Man I love it!! My second tent won’t be packed either, I’m reading the sour crack are small plants so maybe 4-5.
