The wife may give me the go ahead to convert a closet in the house for a grow tent. Biggest thing I would have to do is exhaust the air out of the house. I plan on doing this the same way we exhaust our clothes dryer. Here is a list of POSSIBLE materials that I want to use. I am willing to spend the extra money for materials that will last longer and have higher quality. This isn't a "budget" build. I am only limited with space.

1. Gorilla grow tent
a. 3x3x 8 OR 2X4X8?
2. Kind k3 600 OR Mars 600? (willing to spend more for better quality)
3. 6'' hurricane inline fan w/ speed controller
4. 6'' x20'' mountain air carbon filter
5. MISC. light hangers and straps for ducting.

I already have a DWC system that I am comfortable with, I have Airpots that I also intend to use. I also want to use this tent to be able to do A B comparisons. So growing medium and equipment will be changing.
The plan is to set this us as cleanly as possible in the closet. Have the exhaust face the outer wall of the house so I can exhaust the air outside the same way a clothes dryer does. The outside will also have the same hardware as any other clothes dryer/vent exhaust. Feel feel throw any and all suggestions, comment my way!

If you already have a closet, what is the purpose of the tent?

Good question! I need to be able to break it down in moments notice. It would be in my guest room. Say family/friends come in from out of town, I can break it down and move it.
my record for assembling my tent one time was about 4.5 hours. Disassembling it was easy. I just ripped it to shreds and threw it in the trash. My plants are on heavy duty Down Under rollers and can simply be rolled from my studio closet/grow room to my bedroom in less than 2 minutes. Turn off the lights and it all looks normal except for a fan in my closet.
good luck

I bet you dont have teenagers or good friends that are LE...Thats my situation. I need 100% discretion. I cant just have my plants in a room without it being 100% sealed and 100% carbon filtered.....

swap bedrooms ? or put all your clothes in the guest bedroom closet, and use closet in your bedroom for growing ?no
:pighug:

Here's my 2 cents for what it's worth. I'm not gonna throw in all the extra because hey...... that's not what you asked me lol...

1. I prefer a 3x3... 4 plants will fit in a 3x3 easily and have their own little area the rectangle tents just get weird and plant spacing is awkward...

2. In my opinion the Kind will blow the mars out of the water, have a better warranty, last longer. I ran a mars 7 months and half the blue diodes were burnt up. I waiting on replacements now... BUY A QUALITY LED....

Every thing else sounds good but I go with phresh filters... been running mine over 1 year now 24/7 and still 0 smell

Happy growing

Thanks A.....I am going over the options... I may go with the 3x3 and the k5 xl 750. 4 plants at a time is plenty. I am now just going over different fans...trying to find the quietest... Regardless I will add a duct silencer. The Fan will be inside the tent, the filter will be sucking the air through vs. pushing it. I will also box the fan. Hopefully after all that, it will not be heard from outside the closet. If yall have any experience or suggestions with the best inline fans you have experience with, I would love to hear it.
