Lemon Z - Dutch Passion - Growing Contest 24/25 - EU/UK/US

Day 76/29 in flower. All is good and just kinda cruising and keeping humidity around 50-55. Temperatures with lights on max 76, lights off low 60. I put the shorter of the two plants on a box to try even out the height difference and it has helped a bit. They have frost on the fan leaves and look to be a really beautiful strain. It was a pleasure to grow start to finish and hasn’t disappointed at all. Still some way to go. And I believe they are going to be huge. Really liking the lemon smell upfront, very inviting. Looking forward to seeing the outcome.

Aight so this one has gone sideways. Whatever happened while I was out I don't think I got it sorted correctly. I'm a bit embarassed to post this but hey, here it is.

It's been stalled out looking exactly like this on all the buds for about a week now.

Yerp. Sorry DP.

I thought I had a handle on things with the MegaCrop 1 part since my first plant went so well and easy. Looks like I've still got a lot to learn. The plant hasn't changed appearance in about a week. The buds are just in stasis, which given how bad the rest looks, I am not surprised. Do you guys think I should maybe give up on this one? I still have two more seeds and I'm not really concerned about the contest part anyways. I just liked growing along side y'all. And seeing how good some of you are.

So, let it ride or cut it now?

Have you checked you runnoff readings? How many grams per gallon you feedings? :pass:

Did you check my last post about this, if you can share some more info maybe we cam try to save that gurl, or if you think thats it and wanna start over, ill help as much as i can. What size pot and type of media are you using?

Rockwool on top of small pot of coco

Looks like some toxicity (extreme clawing) and nutrient imbalances to me. Looking at the pics and your comments that they have been stalling already for a long time I would say cut it once you have germinated new ones and need the room. Would be better to start fresh then carrying on, these are too far gone imo.

Thanks for sharing your experience though mate! Shit happens and you had some bad luck during their cycle, onwards and upwards sir

If it were mine and it doesn't develop any further I'd cob the whole thing immediately after the dry or may be a bit sooner. There's a thread on here on how to do it. Prolly salvage some ok smoke this way.

If you do start over try flipping to flower a little sooner, the girl you got right now is huge but i havent been able to figure out what size pot youre in. I was thinking it was maybe rootbound or locked out but im kinda in the dark

Plants look great HBC! Keep on chugging, you got some weight to gain! Seriously tho, youre doing a great job!

Did anybody else have two wildly different phenos in terms of bud structure? One plant had really indica looking buds, tight and hairy, the other grew with much more sativa dominance at least in bud structure, with pistils that are much more sparse and foxtailed a bit more. They both smell very Lemony, but the nuances are pretty different. The stockier, hairier bud plant has more of a lemony baked goods smell, with really warm scented woods/herbs and SKUNK! The other more sativa looking bud plant is more of the lemon Zkittles/candy smell, with an almost menthol/minty undertone and still all that SKUNK! They are both frost monsters! but now that im up close and the plants are separated from the scrog net, i can really get into each plant and discover the differences in the two phenos. I would def grow this again and be happy regardless which phenotype i ended up with. Cant wait for the smoke test!!!

Again thanks for all the help from everyone. I really do appreciate all the pointers and tips, I can only get better from here. This one is going to get a very late culling but that means I can get started again sooner.

@Lil Dab , @KingRatt here's the breakdown:

Allright so, I was running a rockwool cube on top of a small pot of coco coir. Kinda copying 420autoflower's setup as I was going to pick his brain along the way and try that insane scrog method he does.

However, things did not go smoothly outside of the grow and I was unable to attend to the plant for a few weeks. I was lucky enough to have someone offer to help out and I gave them a really quick rundown. It's probably a lot to ask someone to fill your res, mix nutes, and pH everything. So they did their best and kept it alive for me but damage done.

I am using Megacrop 1 part with some epsom salt and I have their kelp product. I don't know how much or how little feed they were getting but I think the clawed leaves and dark green tops suggest way too strong, which I had also contributed to early on. pH was probably out the window. I put it on a steady 1.2-1.5 EC and kept the pH from 5.5-6.0 and checked the res daily.

I did flush through a lot of nute water once I got back to it. Tried to hit it 2-3x manually once the lights were on over several days and I had it set to run the pump every 6 hours. I didn't think to check the dang runoff EC. I probably got ahead of myself trying too much new stuff too soon for my skill set.
