Lemon Z - Dutch Passion - Growing Contest 24/25 - EU/UK/US

Now I will assume that the ppfd you want to shoot for would be the sum of the two, but I do have some doubts.
Now mind you I know very little about under canopy lighting just what I’ve caught in podcasts and I thought you wanted to keep you canopy lights at normal ppfd and the under canopy is just helping the lower stuff get the same ppfd as the tops. Might want to do some digging on that from folks doing it

My first run with under canopy lighting is coming up and it's going to be with autos. Not too worried about running autos. That tent will have the biggest autos of the run.
I will definitely be using the other canopy lighting and will be measuring it with my meter. I guess when I take my light readings, I want to take them separately.
Now I will assume that the ppfd you want to shoot for would be the sum of the two, but I do have some doubts.

My concern is with intensity of the light. I strive to try and have my lowest bud sees 600 ppfd minimum, with the way I currently grow.

I'm going to be augmenting with CO2 anyway, so I'm not going to worry too much about it in that aspect.

I just kind of want to know exactly how far I would be pushing the plant.

I'm pretty sure that I can ask the guy from Craft Farmer on exactly what figure you need to utilize.

And now I got another thing to throw into the mix. I just got my email saying that my package has been delivered. E.This is my new AC Infinity temperature gun with VPD.

Now I have to get it straight in my head on how leaf temperature comes into play and where I need to make my adjustments in my AC Infinity exhaust fan controller. I haven't delved into that very much at all, yet. It's another rabbit hole. :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :hump::hump::haha::haha:
I have the same temp gun. Good price and works well I am pleased. I need better light meter and how to find umol. Mine is lux only. I’m sure there is a way to figure it out. I need to look into it. I have just been watching for leav burn and adjust. With differences in height I know one or both are out range tallest being too high and shortest too low light. Still learning and most important still growing strong.

Yeah, I can believe that, but you do have to take an account the extra lights which will put the load on the root system from the extra light hitting the leaves. There will be an increase in consumption CO2.

I'm pretty sure the guy I got the lights from can answer the question quite easily and quite authoritatively.
I told him he's more than welcome to join up here!

I think these are extremely well made lights. Commercial grade without a doubt. I got the demon cable and dimmer, mainly because the first round being autos. I found some stands more to my liking that will give me a lot of adjustment to play with. These girls going to be in 15 gallon pots, so there's already a pretty good height difference there from the top of the plot to the bottom of the tent. So I don't think I'm going to have any problem of getting the exact exposure I need.
These are 125 watt lights each. That's good bit of power that needs to be taken into account. :hump: :hump: :hump: :pass:

Search on Amazon for this model. It has worked flawlessly now for 4 years. I think the current price is quite a bit higher than what I paid for mine, but that's 4 years ago. Seem like I saw it a few months ago on sale, so maybe check on it every once in awhile. It's a great unit!

My grow pros are dual channel 150 watts. Adjustable spectrum uv-+ir on one channel and full spectrum. I haven’t had chance to really try em out. They look to be made very well too. If I like them and they perform well I plan to get another set. https://www.ledgrowlightsdepot.com/...canopy-grow-light-dual-channel-model-3-2-pack

If i finish around 100days, then its worth it for me with the extra weight. Which should be around where i cut so should be perfect. I know there are autos out there that go 13-14+wks so im still in the quicker end of things, so i will continue to grow out both autos and photos, they both have their own pros and cons, and i have found a place for both in my life. As soon as i take these beautiful Lemon Z girls down i have some more Dutch Passion photos i will be running. My mind is already preparing for the next run lol!
I haven’t gotten to try any of the fast version photos yet. I have some from @Jean-O his grim reaper s1 fv I might give a try after these finish. I’m curious and the indoor photos I have grown were maybe on longer side around 110-120 days a northern lights that took a while to mature was longest. But growing all in one room at moment so when I switch to 12/12 my autos had make the switch too. I tried to zip them up in tents but heat stress was starting to show. I usually like to keep the autos at 18-20 hrs light. I’ve noticed a slight decline in yield compared to full light cycle, but it’s really my only option. Still on fence whether or not to drop the fast versions to give them a try after I finish LemonZ. I’ve only been indoor for a lil over a year and just now getting a lil confidence in my methods and trying new things. I seen the fast veg working out for some of the growers and I would like try that too.

If you flower around four weeks into veg then you should end up around the same as an auto, maybe a few wks more if it takes longer to finish but its all up to you when you flower. If you take a clone for moms you can throw the clines from that into flower after a wk and be faster than autos!

I see you have a dimmer with yours, I have an under canopy controller where adjustable spectrum. They seemed pretty easy to operate and can run multiple sets from their controller. You said you found a good set of stands also. I feel my stands are a lil limited on height adjustments. Do you remember where and what stands they are. I was thinking of getting another option cause mine are a lil high too using 10 gallon and under watering.

Pretty much the same style that you posted in the link.
