So, I was thinking about Pulse Width Modulation and started thinking about an experiment where you could try Pulsing the colors in certain patterns, like try red on, everything else off, then blue on everything else off, then so on through all the colors. Then you could try them in sets together with others off. Or leave them all on, but pulsing at different rates. It might be interesting to find out more about how the plants actually absorb light. Very cool to wonder about. ::dunno:

Hey everyone, I just wanted to post that I received my LEDs, so for anyone that has any questions about them please feel free. Below is a pic and hopefully things go well with them..

That is a wicked price for two and shipping free great buy 360 true watts of led grow light for four hundred thirty seven dollars US. How long did it take to ship? And how did you come up with your ratio of leds?

Hey, I researched numerous companies and their ratios and decided on a combination of a few. It took roughly 11 days from order, 8 days to process and produce and then the shipping.
So far I'm really impressed.

I am very impressed with your service you received and free shipping. That is where you get gouged is when you pay the shipping. Peace

I am currently using this LED growlight, I bought it from the ebay user greenhydroled and cost me about £97($175).
It was shipped straight from China and I paid £3.30($6) import tax.

It is 450w's, I grow the strain Think Different under it and get between 200-250g in SOG using Coco Coir 50% and Perlite 50%.

Cool, that one looks just like the one I got from ebay within the US, listed as a "450w Pioneer Pro medical" light on ebay US. It was $199 shipped, and came from US stock, but I know it's just a China unit that the seller just imports and stocks. It saved a little time and import tax, so I didn't mind the price.

I'm using it on its first grow now, and so far the plants love it! But of course it was added to cfl-only grow, so of course they would like any addition lol. I really need 2, but so far so good :) I may buy another one.

I will be starting my first grow soon, will be writing more about that, but I want to get some feedback concerning a Chinese LED.

I plan to purchase a Noah6 from Gehl (Shenzhen Gehl Lamps Co., Ltd.), one of the large Chinese LED light manufacturers, including grow lights, with the company assembling for Black Dog and some other mainstream brands. But here I will be getting the middle model from their own/in-house top product line. See Gehl specs/description at http://gehl-led.en.alibaba.com/prod...oah_6_led_grow_lights_11_band_with_UV_IR.html, and from a U.S. reseller (better English, some different info.) at http://secondsunlab.com/products/lights/top-shelf-series-900-mx-900-watts/. The Noah6 has 6 x 90-watt integrated COBs (each with 30 integrated 3-watt LEDs; 540-watts total) covering key wavelengths and some while, and 72 conventional 5-watt LEDs (360-watts total) redundantly covering key wavelengths. The COBs are also sold in Gehl's Zeus lower product line (e.g,. http://gehl-led.en.alibaba.com/prod...01/High_quality_400w_Indoor_garden_light.html), for which I've seen good reviews, while there has been very little written about the Noah product line.

I will be using a 2.5" x 5"/.8 x 1.5 meter (12.9 sq. ft./1.2 sq. meter) tent. Yes, I realize some may consider this rather high power-density, but its only 70-watts/sq. ft.; and the unit has 3 dimmer switches (grow/bloom/UV), so I can dial it down if needed/desired. It comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warrantee and, seemingly like all the newer models, is fully modular with much redundancy (something breaks, just that part is affected; call up and they send replacement to be swapped-in).

The Noah6 will cost me $425 plus $180 shipping by DHL (to Eastern U.S.), $585 total. Any feedback, good or bad, concerning Gehl and their lights, and the Noah6 in particular? I simply have not seen where I can get a comparable single LED with this seemingly high power and good spectrum (PAR, lumens, etc.), with dimmers, etc. for <$600.

I've not got any experience with the company mate but the light looks pretty cool!

Make sure you keep it high with those 5w bulbs.
