Interesting,if its true. LEDs sales is a very competitive business and I wouldn't always believe things like that without looking into more.
Those LEDs you posted look nice too.

All of them look ok mate,the round ones would be my last choice though.id prefer a square/rectangle light for my square tent,but that's just my preference.

Have ya looked into something like this budhead? I'm thinking about giving it a try. 5w is awful tempting to me.

Here is why I'm not big on lenses. This is what a 15w screw in type led with lenses did to one of my plants in 24 hours at 12 inches away(manufacturers suggested distance).
