New Grower LED Auto Daquiri Lime Grow

Thanks my man

To be honest, it was your diaries on the Daquiri Lime that swung me towards growing them.

Was wanting a change from my regular GSC growing and tried to find diaries on all the strains I was interested in.

That’s when I found the @Teetee 11 ouncer. My mind was pretty settled after reading your descriptive diary and the results. Then as I went on I found the next one around 17 ounces! I was sold haha.

It saying I’m going to get anywhere near that but as for a guide on growing it, I’m loosely following yours.

Summer here in U.K. and believe it or not, there really isn’t much rain this time! So I haven’t had the pleasure of EC 0 rain water. My tap water is just over 0.45 to start which doesn’t take much to raise with nutes etc. Hence why I’ve gone for 0.8 - 0.9 to begin with.

Thanks for the rep aswell
nice i got a dutch passion D lime auto on day 2 of life. cnt be bad. happy growing every1 ;)

Hi guys,

I’ve been reluctant to post on here as a lot of my journal was deleted due to the site issues.

Hopefully I can continue my diary now with no problems.

Well I’ve just about got to week 7 and I’m in a predicament!

My plants have been showing signs of flowering for 2 weeks now but still no pistils appearing!

Very strange.

I’m feeding daily. I’ve been giving a small dose of miracle gro all purpose, (due to my initial growth problems after 4 weeks, it has decent Nitrogen content in the MG), Cal/Mag, House and Garden A+B. I’m on an EC of 0.8-1.0 with a PH of 5.8.

The smaller plant is still only about 19cm tall going into week 7, the other has shot up to 39cm.

I’ve been in contact with Dutch Passion about the flowering issue. They are looking into it. I’ve grown autos for a few years and never have they taken this long.

Here’s some pics...
Here’s Biggy,

that is a bit odd, hairs for 2 weeks and no sign of proper flower.take a pic in landscape,or a tiny crop of the pic normally rights itself.
good luck n keep er lit.

Gaf Hey guys,

Day 45 now.

I’ve been feeding the same nutes, ppm and ph daily. All of a sudden my plants are drooping!

One problem after another with these!

Anybody help out with recommendations what it could be?

Didn’t think you could over water with coco and that was my initial diagnosis. So if it’s not that, what could it be?

Also getting small spots on the lower leaves of Biggy.

Biggy now sits about 42cms and Shorty is hanging around 20cm haha.
Doing my bloody head in these plants.
Have never encountered problems like this before.
It’s starting to stress me out.

I contacted DP about the seeds and them still not flowering and the size. They tried to say the size was the pot size I was using.

They were stumped, (no pun intended!), by the pics I sent and as to what has gone wrong. They offered me 6 free seeds as a goodwill gesture.

No final answer on the problems, I even said could they be photo but the strain doesn’t come in photo they said.

Sorry but even in a 10l airpot, a plant should be bigger than 20cms after 45 days!

All my previous grows, which were autos, have been well on their way into flower by now and between 50cm to 1 metre.

Can’t figure out where they’ve gone wrong.

The things different about this grow compared to my previous successes are moving to coco, adding an LED to the setup and using airpots. Oh and moving to DP Daquiri Lime.

Before, I’ve always used soil, 1x600w dimmable HPS, AN nutrients and grew auto GSC in standard 20l pots. Done that for over a year with that method and setup with no probs.

Thought i’d pick all your brains, see what you think.

Please do tag anybody who you think may have an answer to my problems.

Thank you

Just about to post pics.

Right, here’s Biggy. 45 days, showing signs of flower for a few weeks but no progress, 40cms high. Drooping like crazy and spots appearing on lower leaves and traveling up the plant.

Day 49,

Well what can I say, Biggy is now officially in flower! Thought it was never going to happen. Almost pulled her aswell. Not sure why it’s taken 7 weeks to get into swing but I’m happy she has.

I switched nearly a week ago, back to my trusty advanced nutrients micro, grow and bloom. Not saying it’s that but I’m sticking with that for the rest of my Grow.

Also changed from using the E/C meter to measured doses.
Using 1 ml per litre of Cal/Mag, 1.5 ml per litre of the AN nutrients. My previous grows have all worked using measures so decided to revert back. Feel like I was getting a weak feed by sticking around the E/C of 1.0 - 1.2, especially as my tap water is already 0.4.

Here’s Biggy

Here’s Shorty.
As you can see, there’s quite some difference in height considering they’re the same age!
Biggy is around 55cm while Shorty is around 23cm!
