Indoor LEC 315 + Dutch Passion Seeds

Day 32

Euforia seems like it will be caught up height-wise in a few days. The Blueberry and White Widow are only a few inches behind the BBK, which seems to be slowing down its stretch. They're filling in the space, but I'm still beating myself up for scorching and stunting them so early on. No doubt they would have larger frames had I done things right. Oh well. New lighting territory, new lessons learned.

The way the flowers are coming in is not disappointing at all though!

Hey Doc! Really coming along now. The "stairsteppimg" on the BBK is my favorite structure. Had a NL x Haze cross like that, mine didn't finish, I'm gonna enjoy seeing her fill out. It looks like you're on pace for an early finish or a hella stony yield if you let it carry on a bit.
Got my journal started, and the big Widow doesn't have much to go. Not much to see, little plants, but I'm confident I'll have the same success you're showing with your LEC.

Day 35

Tent smells like candy. Euforia went through a big stretch and caught up with the others. Little stretchy, but that's to be expected since it lagged behind and got less light. Better late than never!

Hoping my new bloom base feed arrives soon. Pretty sure my GO bloom food is old.

35 days and getting this kind of growth out of of old bloom nutes. lOL. Tell me your kidding Doc! Looking great. Shame about the stretch on the Euforia. It'll let some light in underneath though. It's a multistrain grow, what can you do. I've got the same problem though. Scrog in the next round for me. Should help bslance the height issues. Keep em coming. Have you moved down ( or grown up) from the 30 inches to canopy?

Haha well to be fair, I only recently switched to bloom base feeding a few days ago. General Organics has served me well, but a year later with poor storage has rendered this juice kinda stinky. But yeah, plants don't seem to mind yet. I really think it's the Nirvana and this light that are giving such good, early blooms. If you google the old label for Nirvana, you can see just how awesome the ingredients are. And that they include fulvic acid, yucca, and soapbark means it's a great foliar. Every time I sprayed them, within 20 min of drying, they'd perk up and aim their leaves perfectly toward the light. I was using it twice a week, but now with the blooms being bigger, I'll just use it in the soil, which they love. The wetting agents are great because my pots are totally rooted up. Pat the sides when they're nearly dry and it feels like a sort of drum or very dense styrofoam. Hard to explain really, but you can just "tell" that the entire pot is bound up by a dense matrix of roots.

Here's an example of the roots on the Euforia, slowest of the group. Just brush away some of the loose stuff on top and you can see how dense it is.

So that's why I appreciate AN using yucca and soapbark in both Nirvana and Iguana Juice. Really helps the water actually go through the medium. And I'm gonna be keeping my new organic nutes in the fridge from now on.

As far as the light goes, I've been keeping it at 30" from the tip of the BBK. So for the other plants it's more like 34-37", and for where most of the actual canopy is about 40". Still getting great penetration as the lower bud sites look similar to the ones above. Very powerful light. I'm pretty much maxed for height in my tent, unless I externally mount my exhaust setup, but I'm sure this wont be necessary. I've thought about maybe lowering it a few inches for the end of flowering, but with the plants doing so well, I don't really want to change much.

Too early to give a final verdict, but I'm really happy with this light so far. It's very powerful! Overkill in my space, but a good reason to upgrade my tent size. The plants are growing very uniformly, and pretty similarly sized even among 4 different strains. The full spectrum rules. I am addicted to just sitting on the floor with the tent wide open and admiring the plants.

I like the attention to the root ball. 8 months in and I'm just starting to figure that out. With everything else to learn, it was just kind of a matter of getting around to it. And the LEC is still on the high side. At least for recommended, which with little to go on as far as actual grows was 20 inches. From what i'm seeing it'll kill a 4x4 Scrog, using good genetics, a low light strain whatever that might be. Has to be tested, just talking here. Good reviews on the Nirvana too, might have to work it in to my grow. Working Tang's schedule and don't want to stray too far though. I've already got a few subs and some extras going on. My seedlings look great, the PE looks ready to take the big jump to catch it up to the little Widow which is about 2 weeks ahead. The big Widow just won't quit, there's an amber or two in there, but alot more new pistils so it's getting another shot of ferts in the morning, prob a big dose, knock some of those big fan leaves off, give her a hint i'm ready to move on. The Terpinator is a "highly recommend" i'm seeing great results in resin and smell, not just the big Widow (expected here) but on the Love Potion also, which really doesn't deserve to be this frosty top to bottom at this stage of flower. It's actually so far behind from the big burn a month ago, it'll be tough to keep it in the footprint to finish properly once the screen goes down. Noone to blame but myself really shoulda jumped on the a/c earlier. Update with pics on my side Friday night/ Saturday morning, depends on how late I work. Gonna be a solid one, and I've got a $100 to refill the CO2BoostBucket, which is pretty much ready to mulch the garden at this point. Keep on keeping on, great work, can't wait to see the next round of pics. Smoke em if you got em.

Day 37

Battling with some high humidity in my area. It rained yesterday and today, so RH climbed up to 80%. Turning the AC up helped drop it back down to an acceptable 70%. I'd prefer drier air, because they're drinking plenty of water and the high humidity is keeping them from breathing freely. Took the Euforia a good hour to wake up with lights on this morning. Oh well, should dry up soon. My Iguana Juice didn't show up today. Hope it does before next watering because they're due for some food and the BBK has gotta be hungry with how much it has grown.
