Camaro,
You should check out my scrog journal growing photo plants in this same tent. It was easily my best grow. No stranger to scrogging, but I've never done it with autos. I get too anxious because they're like bottle rockets to me - light em up, watch them go. I've seen it done, but I'm happy to let my autos go all natural. If they crowd, then maybe I'll LST.
Only thing I think is not so good(maybe I don't see right) is light distance from plants, should be around 50cm for best intensity at a 12/12 cycle. Maybe 60cm for a 18/6 or shorted nights.
I found out the hard way that ~50-60cm is too close for my *specific* setup. Small reflective tent plus using a strong light equaled stressed out young plants. If you have a bigger space, maybe then those distances would be more appropriate. But my tent is like a cooltube. Maybe I'll expand the space in the future.
But that's the fun of this grow - adventure! I spend a lot of time staring into my tent and hanging with my plants. I try to observe what little tweaks and adjustments do over time. So far, raising the light to ~75cm has made them happy, which means I'm happy. No weird stretching and there's plenty of bud sites and pistils, so I don't think they're being deprived or anything.
Speaking of tweaks and adjustmemts... check out this dope ass life hack...
Cut a hole in an open box to redirect cool AC air along the wall into a corner where the tent is. I keep the fan of my central AC on all the time, so cool air from downstairs is constantly flowing.
The back of the tent is almost flush with the wall but tilted so it draws air only from that corner. Got a thermometer in the path of air travel so I can get an idea of my intake temps. One cool thing about this setup is that even with the tent wide open, the plants are getting ventilated with cool air.
Plus now I have a grill!
