Ladies won't Autoflower

Hey all

I'm growing some G13 Pineapple express and some SuperSilverhaze from MsNL and none of them are flowering like my previous grows have. I have made a post about them before but that was a while ago and a month on and I'm still not convinced they are going to start producing buds.

I tried photos last time but haven't got the focus to make the clear enough. The PE have female looking parts, with a small pistil, and no male looking parts; but all of these are on the mainstem of older growth areas of the plants. They are not growing buds like an auto should and the PE are over 120days old now. The SSH are definately female, with 2 long white pistils coming from female parts, but again no real buds are forming 70days into cycle.

There have been a few shocks for both sets, the pumps flowed too much to begin with in the nft, the nutes were too high, and then the flow was too low and caused some root damage. now i have it balanced out reasonably well and upping the nutes gradually.

I guess my question is, with these ladies being way past the point when they should have started to bud, and in the case of the PE it should have been smoked by now! In someone who has much more experience than me's mind, should i cut my losses, learn and move on starting a fresh grow? i only have the one space, so its not like i can easily make a new chamber for a new batch and keep waiting...

Seems a massive waste of time and effort, but right now it would take them 4 weeks to bud up nicely if they started to do it today, and they haven't so far, and they really should have. Would switching to 12/12 make them flower? if the PE flowered off the veg growth it has then i'd be a very happy man! but afaik this wont help really.

plz help, the ladies germed 16th Sept last year and still no buds on branches!

where did you get your seeds from, if they have ben vegging since september, even with the stress they had at the start of there lives they should have started flowering & finished by now. I would say there not autoflowers. can you take some photos? if you have a few female calyx up the main stem thats just pre flowers, as your most likely aware most autos preflower 14-20 days (give or take) with super autos taking a little longer.

flip them to 12/12, but if you have been vegging since september be prepared for some HUGE!!!! plants

as far as im aware there isnt a auto Super Silver Haze thast released to the public, did you ge tthem as free seeds with your auto seed order?

I just seen your thread on uk420, I think you have the SSH(photoperiod ) andeG13 labs pineapple express (photoperiod)
G13 labs pineapple express
Sex : Feminized
Type : Indica / Sativa
Flowering : Photoperiod
Genetics : Many Rumors', No one actually knows for sure
Flowering Time : Medium
Outdoor Harvest : Unknown
Height : Medium
THC Level : Medium
Characteristics : strong fruity fragrance

If you flip to 12/12 in your small space I think that just one of your plants would over grow your area.

I agree, those have to be photo plants. Neither strain has been released as an auto yet.

Hey, Thanks for replies

I checked each place i bought from and they both confirm Auto

(idk how to make those links nice and tidy sry )

These were all bought seeds, the freebies were some massive photo plants -one of them says upto 3m!! and some labelled EC2 ...never did find out what they were though, was meant to be an AK auto cross as i remember.

I made the post on 420 because they have a lot of info and people using the nft technique i am, but thought that you guys might be more aware of traits of naughty of auto's. Seems this grow has been frought with setbacks, i'm trying to get all the info i can before scrapping and starting over

any help well appreciated

Peace

-- i have the Northern Lights Auto from G13 too, hope they are what they say on the tin...

You got me thinking about those seeds, found the tin they came in and compared it to the Northern Lights i have from G13. The label for PE doesn't say auto, but the label for the NL does.. I'm guessing you're right, and imagunnamakesumbudnow :booya:

Since they are looking pretty ripe for flowering, i'm gonna switch the cycle and cross them pinkies. I knew something was deeply off with this lot, ok i have made some changes of nutes, lamp, airflow, and strain (a recipe for not going perfectly the first grow i should bet), but the whole process seemed real different to previous AF grows.

I have hope again, Thankyou Gents

-- Rgr That TBM - the Pe are like 70-90 cm tall, i wonder how big they will get, since i only have another 30 cm of height left maximum... maybe i could put a mesh screen in to train that height now ? i will have to do something i think hehe

Hope you got some good head room in your grow space mate, prepare for some big ass flowering girls after 3 months in veg.are you familiar with LST,that may be an option for you

Well that makes me smile i guess in some ways, Big ass Flowering Girl, oh that sounds real nice after this time! I've read about LST and seen some vids, not sure how succesful that would be at this late stage; though i will definately need to do something

a really noob error on reading the packet! man i feel so happily stupid, atleast i didn't cut them down last week when i thought to give the SSH more space... PHEW!

Been doing a bit more research and now I'm taking what you guys say about them being too big for the space a lot more seriously. I am a noob grower, and the previous grows have worked out but not had major success, so i guess i really don't know what i'm getting into now with these.

Some places saying another foot of growth during flowering, some vids showing buds the size of a fist, and whilst that's great and all, a bigger boat might be needed.

LST as an option could work, but these girls are old, the stem at the base is 3/4", and it's pretty strong all the way up. I got some 2" section plastic mesh to put over them, but will have to do some LST techniques initially to get the main stems down to a good height, probably 20cm lower than they are. And this is without considering the 4 SSH right next to them that are the same height but nowhere near the same stem thickness so training will be easier. This is gonna be ... please suggest a word ...

This all to me still seems like good news, atleast now they will flower :D
