Went for an evening visit, just after dark.

Lady Jacqui was a little thirsty, as expected, but nothing drastic.
Miss Thailand was her usual self, not caring about anything the weather produces.

I first gave them what was left of the pond water in one bottle, about 0.5 L each.
Then went to fill up 2 X 2 L bottles. Discovered one was leaking a bit somehow, so maybe 3 L total.
Added a gram or two of the Peters 5-11-26 TE to them, and gave about another 1 L each, saving another 1 L for next time.

Miss Thailand doesn't look noticeably different.
Maybe a bit thicker, perfume a little more demanding.

But Lady Jacqui, wow, those autoflower genes kicking in for a fast finish.
She is now 4 nice thick colas, about 30-45cm long each (12"-16").
Her perfume is strengthening, too.

No rain forecast for at least another week, maybe longer.
So will have to hand water, but should be perfect to finish them up with a long dry hot period.

Now to plan the cut, with photos for y'all, and bringing them home.... hmmm....

Great SM, so Lady Jacqui will be cut and Miss Thailand also. I have to cut soon also, bit of amber and milk and durban poor girl full of aphids. Its great you dont get those kinda pests at your grow site. Look forward to the pics

Day 108 (Flowering Day 81) La Buena Hierba: Thai Gold Photo, "Miss Thailand"
First Round of Harvest (Lower Colas)

Here are a couple of the smaller colas from Miss Thailand.
As you can see, plenty of white pistils up top, but lower calyxes are very brown.
She's had a long flowering period, so this is an attempt at a balance.
Will take the big tops maybe a week or so from now.
Photos are not great...........

These are both about 18cm = 7" long.

Quite light and open, not dense at all.
Best for her resistance to mold and heavy rains -- excellent!

Can start to see the size of the calyxes, very large.
Which is also seen in her large seeds.

And before anyone asks -- no I didn't check the trichomes.
I don't have the equipment, and at site I have to be very stealthy.

Lime green yellow and gold are the colors here.

If you look close, you can see that in addition to the large calyxes, she also has large bracts around the calyxes.

Some of what you may first think are pistils are the bracts, so less white pistils than at first glance.

I only removed the dead fans and some dead larger inner leaves.
Not trimming anything at this point.
The colas are hanging upside down in a brown paper bag in my garden store area.
Those non-trichome outer leaves will hang down and protect the trichomes.
I will either dry trim, or just leave, and trim the outer leaves when I prepare for a vape.
It's my own use, no need for heavy trimming for "bag appeal".
I think this is the best way to dry, cure and protect the quality of the flowers.

As mentioned above, these are the poorer quality colas.
The main cola on Miss Thailand is going to be left a little longer.
This will give me some different strengths and flavors from the same plant, earlier and later harvest.

Meanwhile, Lady Jacqui is getting thicker, much tighter than Miss Thailand.
But her calyxes are smaller right now, so she needs time to bulk up.
The two of them may come down together at this rate, as Lady Jacqui is catching up fast.

I decided to take down the smallest of the big four colas on Lady Jacqui, plus two little lower tops.

Most likely too early, but I don't mind, as I had a tester sample picked a week ago, it should still be good.
Though the other three big colas will get more time, of course, as will the rest of Miss Thailand

Oh, and thanks @Waira for the idea to do some night shots, they came out great.
But I was praying nobody was going to think, "Who's taking photos in the bushes in the dark?" and come and check it out....

Thanks J! Yes, it does feel good.
I've already got a couple of colas cut and drying.
Watching them as well as I can -- luckily very little rain lately, have to hand water more, but that's okay for lower RH.

Weather forecast indicated low chance, but more than they predicted...
Water is good, but will need to check on them today or tomorrow.

Yup! Its been weird lately. Rain comes every other day. Cool and wet when it rains but hot as hell when it doesn't.
