Yup! Its been weird lately. Rain comes every other day. Cool and wet when it rains but hot as hell when it doesn't.

Yeah, temps down and RH up today.
And my Jacqui is not the skinny girl she used to be.

Super sticky for late winter.
Awesome work there.
Here you go, @smokeyfromau -----

Day 108 (Flowering Day 81) La Buena Hierba: Thai Gold Photo, "Miss Thailand"
First Round of Harvest (Lower Colas)

Here are a couple of the smaller colas from Miss Thailand.
As you can see, plenty of white pistils up top, but lower calyxes are very brown.
She's had a long flowering period, so this is an attempt at a balance.
Will take the big tops maybe a week or so from now.
Photos are not great...........

These are both about 18cm = 7" long.

View attachment 1225223
Quite light and open, not dense at all.
Best for her resistance to mold and heavy rains -- excellent!

View attachment 1225224
Can start to see the size of the calyxes, very large.
Which is also seen in her large seeds.

View attachment 1225225
And before anyone asks -- no I didn't check the trichomes.
I don't have the equipment, and at site I have to be very stealthy.

View attachment 1225226
Lime green yellow and gold are the colors here.

View attachment 1225227
If you look close, you can see that in addition to the large calyxes, she also has large bracts around the calyxes.

View attachment 1225228
Some of what you may first think are pistils are the bracts, so less white pistils than at first glance.

I only removed the dead fans and some dead larger inner leaves.
Not trimming anything at this point.
The colas are hanging upside down in a brown paper bag in my garden store area.
Those non-trichome outer leaves will hang down and protect the trichomes.
I will either dry trim, or just leave, and trim the outer leaves when I prepare for a vape.
It's my own use, no need for heavy trimming for "bag appeal".
I think this is the best way to dry, cure and protect the quality of the flowers.

As mentioned above, these are the poorer quality colas.
The main cola on Miss Thailand is going to be left a little longer.
This will give me some different strengths and flavors from the same plant, earlier and later harvest.

Meanwhile, Lady Jacqui is getting thicker, much tighter than Miss Thailand.
But her calyxes are smaller right now, so she needs time to bulk up.
The two of them may come down together at this rate, as Lady Jacqui is catching up fast.

~SM

Hey SM :pass: :d5: Looking beautifil Miss Thailand and Lady Jacqui (in the Night Flower post):king:. I agree also with the photo of Miss Thailand cola, being your favourite,it really showed off her frosty trichs. I dont trim super neatly either, just make sure i get every bit of trichrome. Then they go into the spare room which is kept dark for them, have thought of using the dressing room as its smaller. The sampler will be good to also judge how the rest of Lady Jacqui ad Miss Thailand need approximately.

@Shiva's Mistress , i was thinking that the small microscope might be good for you to check your trichs , i got a cheap one like this, its good BUT issue is you have get very close , otherwise is great and cheap and does the job plus has a small light that might be handy when out in the dark.

Shame about the rain, shame you can not construct a roof, that isnt visible to make people look yet protect Lady Jacqui.

It would be useful, let's see. I think I can see amber trichomes on the Thai Gold that I took down about a week ago.
It is very nice vaping her -- happy, relaxed in the body but active, and also quite clear and good for doing thinking work.
Lasts quite a while, too. Not heavy dulling at all. Maybe the next colas will be heavier, but she's already very good.

La Buena Hierba -- Urban Guerilla Selection

This evening was a great window to check the plants,
with plan to harvest the rest of Miss Thailand,
and probably/possibly harvest the rest of Lady Jacqui too.

Then, big rain, unexpected, and continuing for hours.
It had been at least a few inches when it was cutting into my window.
Went out anyway, the rain meant almost nobody in the park.
I got a little bit wet, but it was worth it for security.

Cut down the rest of both plants.
Miss Thailand definitely ready I feel.
Lady Jacqui is a little early.
But the rain was a you-know-what worry,
and I will not have another window in the next week or more.
Decided to cut them both down for these reasons.

Got them home and shock the rain off.
Held them in front of the dehumidifier for a while,
whole room is RH of 45% as well.
Took these photos.

Can't hang to dry and cure.
Using the same trick as the earlier harvest.
Using heavy brown paper bags.
Hang the buds upside down in the bags,
taping the stem to the side of the bag at the top.
Worked okay for the earlier harvest.

I will do a dry trim later.
I did a dry trim today on the earlier harvest.

Day 121 (Flowering Day 94) La Buena Hierba: Thai Gold Photo, "Miss Thailand"

Pics of everything, the good and the bad.
Two big main colas, and a couple of smaller laterals.

Day 92 (Flowering Day 55) La Buena Hierba: Jack Herer Auto, "Lady Jacqui"

Three big main colas.
The middle one is the thickest and juiciest.
One of them a probably a bit under mature.
I think LBH says "9 weeks flowering", but I'm just on 8.
But window of opportunity to harvest and this rain are a worry,
so glad I brought them down now.

Beautiful buds!

:cheers::drool:

Thanks @pop22
A few hours later, I just feel glad about the whole harvest.
Glad that it was raining, so nobody around, good security at most stressful time!
Nice buds, even if the Jack is a bit early.
And glad that they are drying now.
But best of all, glad that they are finished outside.
No more stress about the grow, the site, security, rippers, etc.
Thanks for stopping in from time to time!

Congratulations on getting them in:d5: and they are beautiful...I bet that feels good and it looks like you got away with it again:smoking:
