Indoor Kyote's 2021 Adventures in Grow Land Indoor & Outdoor

Looking great mate, good luck with the finishing line. I'm jealous of you being able to finish photos down where you are, outdoor photos up here have zero chance - they will get snow on them before they finish outdoors up here. Even outdoor autos are dicey some years due to the evil mold. Summer is too short, and the transition to cold wet and then much too cold weather is abrupt. Rotblock is a huge help up here, and I expect that you will find it the same down there.

I am looking forward to seeing how you make out with the rest of the grow! :pighug: :goodluck:

Thanks, we will see how he Rotblock works for sure.. It looks like the weather patterns have changed for the seasonal shift to fall here, with temps cooling down and rain. It's all a roll of the dice at this point. :smoking:

Love it! So glad you kept that beautiful mutant going. I hope you've got an automated trim machine of some sort on order. I think your hands are in for a heck of a time with plants that large. Hahaha the penalty for growing too well!

Yep, happy i kept her going as well. She's a pretty one.

And I, hand trim only here. Too soon to tell how much there will be to trim. As of right now, there's nothing  IF there is an abundance of buds, only the creme of the crop will get hand trimmed, and the rest goes to making oils. Selective trimming for the win I hope!

+1 for the selective trim. It's nice to not need the last bud you grow - gives you options.

Methinks though, that you are still in for some serious trim time. :pighug:

Hope ur thinkin is on point :smoking: to where i can say, "I gots blisterz on me fingers"! :d5:

 Ive been looking ... But. I've found nothing that matches.? @Waira
Yours is a different thing GTG,... This RM showed the weird crinkled texture and brittleness from the get-go that a SexBud (Female) I ran a few years ago had, but she was much weaker than Kyote's RM... His has shown some vigor, and what looks to me normal blooming... I kept the little mutie SexBud anyway, and she made some fine buds after all... And she smelled like fresh apricots, uncannily so!
So I told our mate here to just ride her out, and it paid off! :woohoo1:

Kyote my man, things look fantastic so far in this wonky-ass blooming season - :d5:... that damn EBBCS #2 is starting to make me grind my teeth as well-... damn buggers are supposed to be fast, easy triggering (in theory :rolleyes2:),... but you know, thinking back, a mate here, Ribbzzy, ran a couple CS's last year and they were not as quick as one would expect for such a cross with significant auto content -... I'll chat more with the breeder of our EBB crosses, and see what his experience is this year with his CS and x's,...
Female has been a great breeder for me so far, they were a quiet but quality company... You and @Growtogrow ought to eyeball their line up some time...:eyebrows:
Outdoor Grapefruit was an awesome Sati-dom plant, fast, mold resistant, gorgeous plant and buds, surely one of the best I have grown to date! Skunk Special, (sweet candy-citrus pheno') ditto, with nose blasting terp content... That one made be woozy and had a slight headache after I got done just chopping and prepp'ing her for trimming!
Mimosa Champagne, indi-dom, was also fantastic rich berry candy/dairy terps, solid gummy buds, fast and mold resistant too...

Anyway, I digress -... my little late start EBBCS is sorta making hint at starting bloom, top main is looking promising but a few days yet to confirm,...
Keep the PK coming Kyote, breeder showed me some nice bud of this cross, but it's a pheno thing too as you may suspect! You saw how the EBB x S99 looked for me, but late in the game she improved a lot... a ton of trim, but the buds look better than I expected. Should be dry in a few days so I'l let the dry porn do some talking :smoking:

Glad the BBgum is finally getting busy-...that one is a Mystery.... but hopefully 5-6 weeks and she'll be done!

RM looks yummy, she wasn't an especially high bud:leaf either, it's the trait of the Purple Kush used in breeding, most all the Red Family seem to show this to some degree... Are you getting licorice notes in the orange grove yet?

Meantime, it's gonna be a real tester year for Phyter, eh? I can't believe I'm staring at a late OCt/early Nov. finish, for the DOHz at least... Still late Sept.early Oct. for WLD's, 2-3 weeks off the usual!
I posted the EBB x S99v4 in the Phyter thread, BTW,... I think Phyter made a significant difference in mold resistance, that plant got cold drizzly night 3-4 time late in bloom, and only 1 tiny early mold spot found deep inside... Encouraging news!

Glad to hear how the Rotblock worked out. My test grow was completely mold free, but my buds were likely low risk due to being on the airy side - either my fault, the hot weather's fault, or just genetics. Whatever, the airy buds I produced down there in the past have all developed mold, airy or not. After my test result, I may grow outdoors again.

The tarp gurlz are all on MC and BE now 2x a week, cept for BBgum, as she needs it every day in that 7 gallon bag. The gh gurls are getting BE only 2x week, as whatever they are tapped into has plenty of N

Been spraying Phyter every Sunday evening on all the tarp gurls, and have sprayed in the GH a few times as well after pruning, and early flower on the EBBXCS.. will continue with that. I did take a very good long look at her buds yesterday, got a bit invasive on her, but looking where that br starts, so it takes a bit of prying eyes.

Nothing but happy with RM.. she really is a pretty one... a sea of purple waving in the breeze. Nope, no licorice.. i'd love somez licorice :smoking:

Oh, here's a pic of EBBXCS #2 the other day... hope da bee ain't packing pollen from a male :nono: LIl dude was buzzing from button to button

Thanks @Waira :toke:
That sounds right, on the genetics with Kyote plant. I can see that.

So what is this on the Wedding cake at the farm? It is from a cut. The cut is sought after in this region. And it's expensive to get. The commercial farmer I grow for has a contract to grow these cuttings.
I see these on those cutting only now. And mostly on the shade side of the plant.:toke::pass:

Can definitely feel the weather pattern shifting in the NW coastal biosphere. Days making it to the upper 60's and low 70's, nights upper 40's to low 50's. Fall is in the air here.

I am cramped for drying space here. Used to have a 10 x 10 cabin that was dedicated to drying in the fall, butz no such luxury here. So I picked up a Wedryer XL that will help a lot.

Cookies flipped :jump: :jump: So Halloween chop window if she is able to make it until then. (need fingers crossed emoji). Will start a top feed twice a week of bloom fertilizer, same as the EBB x CS in the gh.

EBB x CS is doing nicely... only a head shot as not much room to get a better photo. Trichome production is picking up.

View attachment 1360369

Outdoors under the tarp ..these have all been treated with @Phyter weekly on new growth and on open wounds from pruning.

Ebb x CS can't really say this one has flipped yet.. right on the edge.. may have to supercrop it as well
View attachment 1360370

Blackberry Gum flipped as well! Lot's of pruning and a bit of LST to open it up a bit more. May have to supercrop.
View attachment 1360371

Red Mandarine mutie gurl is doing her business.
View attachment 1360372

And Voodoo from @Jean-O's genetics going dark in the next couple days. Secondary bud shot here. I see Emily the cat has bounced her tail off of this bud :kitty:

Ok growfolks.. thanks for popping in and hope ur grows put big smiles on your faces :smoking:
Damn bro looks awesome in that greenhouse ! I knew the red mandarine would bounce back what a beast ! Nice plants!!!

Hmmm, MC/BE are not the best formulations and ratios for the various stages of the plants life, that's why I stopped using them.... Some folks get good results, others get nothing but trouble, and often many get leafy buds...
I suspect it's because not enough P present when they need it most, and too much K almost all the time. BE is ridiculous with it's ratios IMO, especially for a so-called bloom booster! For that critical early-mid bloom stage, the PK ratio's should be literally the opposite, 2:1 P:K...
I can't prove it for a fact, but the anecdotal numbers of the results I've seen over the years sure point to less than stellar bud:leaf ratio because of too little P when it's needed most, and too much N in bloom... K is overkill period, and it can really start to fuck with uptake on other things via antagonistic uptake actions...
I don't necessarily think you're experiencing this mate, you're not marinating the plant in the stuff like some do, but this is a heads-up advisory-
I still use Sweet Candy, but as a finisher because of it's high K, S and other goodies that help enrich terpenes... Otherwise, I like to use something that has high P, mid-low K for bloom boosting, and spare the K inputs for what the Si product and SC bring in, more than enough by themselves... Of course, I'm using that KIS Organics nute pack stuff as you know, but there are some bottled options for better bloom formulations...
I use Terp Tea Bloom (3-7-4) and/or Roots HPK (0-4-3) which is basically processed liquid bat poo- :greenthumb:

I think we'll be very happy with Phyter mate, but the real test is coming yet right? As we mentioned, it's no panacea, not a "fix-it" solution, but a strong suppressor,...

Well it might be that your RM pheno' won't have the same aroma nuances, only time and cure will tell! mine lost some orange aroma, licorice got stronger along with a sort of base aroma that most all the Red Family seem to have....
Thanks @Waira :toke:

I'm not sure GTG, last PM we had I mentioned using powerful magnification to make sure broad mites (far smaller than spider mites) or some other vermin are not behind that,.. the symptoms don't scream anything specific at me, but a microbe pathogen doesn't seem likely with those symptoms,... more distant possibility is a virus in early stages of development, and those are a real bitch to diagnose outside of lab testing!
I saw on KIS Organics site, a new Podcast with a scientist about viruses in cannabis, which I'm going to check out here soon,... this is a difficult subject to get reliable info on,, so it's worth a listen for sure!

I think my Haze girls is saying that it is working quite well.
