I usely start l.s.t. around 4-6 days after first sign of sex. Right before preflower stretch. If i top same timeframe.
Watch for a couple of days, repeat, repeat, At that time theres now no more room for l.s.t. plant should fill out the "tent".
so to even out the canopy with out l.s.t. i simply crop and defoliate.
Maybe some of this will stunt the plant ( thats exatly what i whant ) reduce the stretch otherwise they will outgrow my space.
And ofcource get as much light as possible to reach the plant.

She´s still stretching a bit. Cropped some of the stems to To promote growth elsewhere
and reduce growth on the cropped stems
Removed some leaves in the middle of the plant for better airflow and light penetration.
ppm starting to rise indicating that the preflower stretch is soon to be over
