I know, but you and others say it needs to be filled daily. That is not ideal for one location. Bugs however are not good anywhere. I was assuming that I could run a plastic cover, like you do in the Earth boxes? A barrier to entry and escape. I don't want bugs. So that is something I need to do more planning it I do beds. I can't have bugs ruining things.
A healthy soil will have bugs, it's pests you want to avoid. The predatory bugs will help prevent pests. There is bugs in the KIS soil, but the beneficial type.

. Earthboxes need to be filled daily down the watering hole. Unless you set up a timer and pump to fill the watering hole daily for you. It has an overflow. For example, I could manually water the SIP containers here daily. However at one of my other locations, I am not physically there daily. Sometimes we would need it Automated. I am buying 4 for myself to try. But if I were to get more at other place in future, I would need an Automated system for occasions where neither of us will be able to physically be there. I run a pump, timer and Halo rings with my Coco set up there now. I will see how the handwatering goes with the Earthboxes at my house for a grow or 2 before anyways
I thought that you added some Nutrient pack to Sam's Crack, around day 30? I am probably wrong and saw it somewhere else, but I did see it somewhere you can add it if needed. I am sure a fast Auto would not need it. But maybe for re Ammend after harvest.
