its almost impossible to burn plants with he system regardless of age. seedlings come into contact with our hot soil after about a week in a cup with zero issues. the plants rooting system won't over uptake food. And coming into contact with it won't burn when its setup properly because the feeder roots are growing into the soil and not being planted into it. I know it sounds crazy but i could have told you you were using phosphoric acids just from your pics. i see it all the time and outside of cold soil/ overwatering its the only issue i deal with when troubleshooting issues with customers. overwatering, water ph (along with not using phosphoric acid) and cold soil are the three issues we deal with and when all thats in check, there should never be issues.

My tap is 6.7 should I b adjusting. I've just been giving it straight after sitting out for 24

yep 6.7 should be golden... very few growers are within a 6.5-6.9 range almost all tap water is 7.3+ unless your in areas that get a lot of fresh water drainage like mountains.. i have had a lot of mountain growers report consistent 6.5 levels.. which would be clap your hands and stomp your feet ph levels to have. cannabis in organic soil programs uptake between 6.2-7.2 optimal ranges are 6.5 our soil and the majority of potting soils are ph adjusted to be 6.3-6.8 .. if your water is above 7.2 your soil has to work really hard to buffer the higher PH levels where as if the water is more acidic your soils buffer the water easier.. a lot revolves around lime, oyster shells, even certain amendments raise soil ph naturally.. so if the water is more acidic its easier to bring the soil back and buffer any water passing where as its harder for a lime, oyster etc.. soil to bring a higher PH water back down .. adding those higher ph waters can over time cause the media to swing as well. There is a fine line with all that very high water PH levels can slow and stunt growth where as acidic water will basically do the same thing. taking the water and media out of uptake ranges really effects how your plants not only grow but produce.

All soils become more acidic over time its just how all soils work as they not only break down but loose feed overtime or even become more acidic overtime due to over adding amendments and not rebalancing the PH.

so i have chimed in on posts here for a bit.. I'm hoping people read this and can find the grower.. someone asked me about wicking systems and our soil. I as a very stupid person stated i wouldn't suggest it only because i didn't have experience with it and i thought it may keep the hot soil to moist because it wicks from the base up.. so i was way way wrong and i have a grower making me wash my mouth out with soap.. i know this is a auto thread but this guy is in the desert and running our soil with a wicking bed. below are pics from the start when he acquired the plants and the dates show the process i hope this makes it to the grower that asked me about wicking with our soil.

so the first pics are the day he bought the plants.. he planted them into the wicking beds that day which i believe was 5/15 next pic was 5/21 where you see the little bush in the wick beds.. the large plant pics are from 6/21 .. apparently h was clearly happy and planted more in-between the beds as you can see he just recently started. he sent us many more pics but id spend all day uploading his pics heres the important ones.

:pass:KindSoil, good to see ya bud!

>>> Step' :eek1: whoa! Are they sucking up the N and laying it down, or what?! I can't believe those were topped, the lat's has just gone nuts,...:greenthumb: :growing:... Ahhh, man-JEM's! :eyebrows: - what's the plan? very nice, BTW,... might be some buyers for their sperm donations!

>> pop22 :smoking: I feel your pain my friend! Sometimes the way plants react goes against all logic and experience,... I'm in a similar boat,...

>>> So, things are looking shit-shitty with my seedlings, and I am utterly stumped as to why,.. I've never had this weird reaction happen before, I did nothing out of the norm',... :cuss: -pH is spot-on too,...I know this soil, and have started in it plenty, with no prob's, but clearly something is TARFU! They lack vigor, pale color, cotl's have been tapped out already,.... I've slipped them light hits of nute's and even micronutes, Jump Start, but still they suck,.... *sigh*-- from the get-go they were looking dubious, but I was hoping it was just temporary... only common thing is the goddamn soil, a unopened bag from last season, stored in a garage even, no abuse to it at all,... Murphy's F'ing Law, the only time that there's no time for shit like this, and it happens,... I've actually started new seeds in different soil, at least those I had spares of! The extra Acapulco Gold seeds are lost in the frikkin' Postal switches, from my recent move,... Crm. Mandarine is out, so I popped a Kalishnapple x Sweet Tooth instead,... at least of them all, the CM is looking the best! .... F'F'F
