They don't drip out much actually, the design is interesting. The inside is all gray felt. On the outside and outer bottom is that white coating which looks solid, but is in fact very finely perforated for air exchange! (the white does appear to be keeping the root zone much cooler too.) The bottom inch or so on the circumference is the gray felt without white coating, here it can drain out if it needs to, but it seems to hold water in better, and also provides lots of air exchange too. It should provide some overall insulation but not too much, thanks to the overall perforation.

So the design addresses many issues with fabric pots: water doesn't just run all out immediately, makes a much cooler root zone than black fabric, the softer thicker felt should "trap" root tips better and make them branch out instead of terminate, and a better balance of water retention and air exchange.

yeah they RT pots look like a better material, does it drip through as much? any insulating properties since it just looks like its twice or three times thicker is whjy Im so curious.LOL

These clones were planted May 19
About a week in they started getting blotchy. I think it might been too hot too fast. They've had nothing but straight water ph'd in the 6.2-6.4 range
