How well does the pot dry out between wateringg?

It's kind of hard to judge, actually. As far as what's visible, the water is allmost all concentrated in one small area between where it drips out to about the diameter it takes to reach the cone. So things like sticking a finger in the top (say on the other side of the pot), or feeling the bottom of the pot will almost always feel dry as a bone. I can see the speed of the dripping change on the mature plants throughout the day. Will look once and it'll be dripping pretty steady 2-3 drops a second, then an hour or two later and maybe one drip every 15-20 seconds. With it being kind of hard to guage the wet dry cycle, it was kind of a leap of faith I suppose to just trust in it. I kept wanting to turn them up more and more in the early stages so that there would be more wet feeling around the pot. But after getting myself to just let 'em do their thing the plants seem to be digging it so far.

Should be interesting to pull the roots at the end of the grows and inspect them. I'm guessing there will be a nice little cluster around the area between the drip and the cone.

If i could get decent pics i would be much happier! Got interrupted this morning so none of outdoor plant. Dam stoned caterpillars are out in full force. Going to cut the main cola first, mostly brown pistils. Could not look at trichs today. I got a few more photos for later tonite

Killing it! Just a destroyer job! I'm liking Kindsoil more and more as the days go by and the combo of mephisto kindsoil roots and distilled water is just amazing Im so happy now. This is the shit. Simple and I can learn so much because of its simplicity. Watching the reaction of my plants when they are hitting that sweet spot and it just breathes out terpenes. Heaven.

Day 70, July 15

So I'm looking for opinions on harvest. I'm certainly in the harvest window. Been checking my trichomes with a pretty strong magnifier. Sometimes it's hard to tell. Trichs on the leaves have quite a bit of amber on them but when I really push into the bud not as much. They are definatly there, just not as much as on the sugar leaves. I could probably take the main cola right now. Hardly any white hairs on the cola. Anyone ever done that and let the rest continue on? Leaves are yellow and crispy on the cola but I'm just starting to see signs of yellowing on leaves below the cola. There is the occasional super crispy leaf deep inside or towards the bottom. My gut is saying just wait for another week or so. I'm think I would have to leave it for a while to fall out of harvest and simply produce a fall asleep smoke. I'm a fan of the smoke having a nice body stone and heightened sensation. I'm not a fan of super crazy thoughts running through my head. Anyway thoughts are welcome and here are some pics to help.
