I wish I knew enough to answer pete. Different brands could have different ph.

The nestle Pure life was supposed to be 6.5 and tested high so I'm calibrate my blouse lab and give it is monthly cleaning and check them both again

You can not ph distilled water.. Just give it to them do not put anything in it..
So what's the difference between RO and distilled? Distilled still contains all the trace minerals? Is that what you use start to finish?

Quick pic update...things seem to have slightly improved, thanks @Ripper.

Still really small plants and pretty disappointed. Less than an oz for two plants. Might as well buy from the dispensary lmao oh well the add water only thing just isn't for me I guess, I'll update in here around harvest time but I don't think I've much to add here, specially in their favor. I will admit from seeing everyone else's girls that it's probably my fault w.e. happened, but to me I shouldn't have to re learn how to water plants just to adjust to this soil, feel like It took away from the "user friendly, K.I.s.s. style grow I was looking for. I find it easier to mix nutrients. I want to clarify this has just been my experience.

Hey everyone! Just signed up and made a profile to the site. I am about to start my very first grow using kind soil in a 3x3x6 grow tent. Only starting with 2 plants in 5 gallon root trapper 2 pots. I'm also using platinum leds, the p300. I am7 probably going to add another light at the end of the month if everything goes well. The tent is a bit big for what I need but it fit just perfect in my closet so I said what the hell!
I have read every page on this thread and learned a lot! I'm excited to start, my seeds are germ right now and one has popped, the other not yet. I'm growing jock horror and northern lights autos.
All your grows look great and I hope I can be as successful as you guys! I am sure ill have plenty of questions! Have a good rest of your weekend guys!
Welcome to the gang!

I was reading up a bit on distilled last night, and it seems the answer to this will depend on who you ask. Someone had said that distilled water is not pure, because any elements in the water that have a equal or lower evoparation point with water will evaporate with the water, therefore staying in it as steam and as it condenses back into water.

However, what I was reading last night claims that doesn't take into account the fact that those elements are frequently heavier than air and water vapor, so will frequently not rise with the steam. Also, most distillation machines run through multiple processes, which also overcome much of this.

Basically, I think the only way to really know for sure is to get a TDS meter. I believe if the TDS (or maybe PPM) is between 0-10, it's considered pure water and PH should become irrelevant (and in fact difficult/impossilbe to measure in many cases).

Then I started reading up on alkalinity and really got lost........:jointman:
