Hi Pete. Really sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with your Kind Soil girls. I'm no expert by any means but I'll explain my watering method. When you water do you water and get run off? What is your source? What I did was find exactly the amount of water to give just before I would get any run off. For me with a two and a half gallon pot, that turned out to be 7 cups. Even a half a cup more and I would start to get run off. My goal in watering was to never have any run off. I figured any runoff would be washing out valuable nutrients from the Kind Soil. In the seedling stage I watered only about a cup or so and increased that amount as she got bigger. I don't think I even made the bottom of the pot wet in the first week or so once sprouted. Once she was established I thought her roots were probably hitting the Kind Soil, I watered every three days that exact same amount of 7 cups. Now that she is a big girl I am watering that same amount every two days. I am certainly lucky to have found a water source that has a solid 6.5 pH in the Poland Spring water I buy in 5 gallon jugs. I got one of those ceramic dispensers so we could use it for our drinking water too. I also prepared myself with Earth Juice crystals before I started this grow and they are certainly some powerful stuff. A little goes a long, long way. Just experimenting with my tap water which has a pH of around 8, anything more that just the smallest pinch of the crystals would send the pH down into the 4's when applied to that same 7 cups of water. I decided to not use my tap water because I tested for chloramines and found that they existed in my tap and there's no way to bubble them out. My tap is also very hard with a 400 or so PPM level which I don't think is really a problem. My gal would droop a lot in the veg stage right before lights out and during the whole 6 hour dark period until just before the lights would come back on and then she would start to wake up expecting the soon to come light. I've experienced this what I call a sleep/wake cycle in my previous grows in hydro too. I mention it because if I opened my tent in the middle of a dark period and saw that and didn't know it was normal I would have thought she was either reacting to being either over or under watered. Forgive the long ramble but maybe there's something helpful here as so often the devil is in that one small detail.

And here's my kind soil girls....if I by chance ever used this stuff again I would add like 20-30% perlite to just the kind soil so it actually can drain and dry out with the rest of the medium. My girls are supposed to drink from the rest of the medium, not the kind soil, that's for feeding, but if it stays wet longer it's not really working like that logically. Will upload pics tomorrow, sites acting funny tonight
Pete I do not see any pictures so I will ask what size pots you used and how much soil you put in the pots.. Something does not add up to me.. I have never had any problem like your describing. You mentioned using earth juice crystals so what ph were you obtaining?

Yeah it Def helps bro. I usually feed about a liter at a time or so, the only thing I can think is not enough.....but the bottom is always pretty moist and doesn't feel like it needs watering. I can never get my pits to dry out basically. Here's pics of my garden.....everything's happy and healthy besides the kind soil....

What ones are the kind soil plants? And may I suggest not watering them till you achieve the desired dryness

And here's they kind soil girls. I only used the crystals twice on some bottles water I put about a gallon together and tried to PH it and wasted all of it. Both tries. So I had to wait twenty four hours for my tap to sit out and just use that. My tap is 6.7 but I didn't have any one day so tried it with the crystals and not easy. Just wasting water phing too far. So back to tap I went. I checked my tap after a fresh calibration of my blue lab PH meter. Tap is 6.7 and 300ppm. Here's kind girls....the last three pics are cheese xxl and the most mature plants in my other pics are cheese xxl from the same pack. Huge difference in size.

Close up of the cheese xxl from kind soil and from my regular program....kind soil second pic....@ripper filled 2lbs, approx. 10 cups into the bottoms of 5gallon boxer brown root pouches and then topped off with roots 707. Settled an inch or two over the grow.
I'm really sorry if I'm coming off offensive or standoffish. I'm really not trying to at all and I'm just as confused myself because everyone else seems to be having good results, but when I'm only allowed a legal limit to have three plants in the garden under performing is very very frustrating to me and really curse in to my meds, time and money lol. Sorry AFN if I offended any one or an coming off rude, I'm not trying to kill the vibe at all and once again apologize if that's how it seems guys.

Your good pete.. I am baffled to be honest something is just wrong here.. Would I be asking to much of you if I asked you to let them dry out and then feed them distilled don't ph it just give them distilled? See if they change.. Cause from the picks there seems to be a lock out and I suspect something in the tap or ph..

That's what I've been doing on the button, not only using the lift the pot, and finger test, but when I lift the pot I check how much moisture left on the saucer, it shines in the light, I never water until run off, one time on accident and I let it soak it up, I have the saucers sitting regular with the pots inside them when I water so I can catch run off And not wash away the goods but that only happened once, then I flip the saucers upside down and set pots on them to get even air flow around the pot for even drying.
