These are the Hso autos; lost coast skunk and lemon juice. Second time around for the skunk. Doing them in a single gallon air pot. Not concerned about yield but quality and variety. I should be starting a full journal soon
So I potted my gallon air pots and followed Kinds suggestion of 5 cups equal a LB. At the time I didn't think to double check is statement. Today I got the unused portion of the bag and measured out 5 cups and weighted it, 260grams....Hardly a LB. I will have to dig up the top layer and add some more cups.
Last time I had two 3 gallon pots and I pretty much halved the bag. In a way I kind of want to roll with a 1/2lb and see if it will suffice. From what I can remember last night, ooops, the pot was about a little under half full before adding the coco. Not sure if I want to disturb the seedling (if I did, now is the best before roots run) or just let it ride and add kind later... what do you all think?
Loving the progress on the Berry Bomb in the modified Kindsoil grow. Responding to the supplemental teas really well. Bumping them up to every week or so as the plants get closer to finishing. Day 48 on what the breeder lists as a 70 day strain, so should be getting down to the last 3-4 weeks if they don't go long. Just the one pic of the taller lady this week...

It was half a bag of it that was in the pot with some Roots topsoil that some seeds I tried never germinated in. Didn't want to let it go to waste, so I mixed it with the top soil in the pot and cooked it with a couple of handfuls of earthwork castings and some molasses keeping the soil moist but not wet for about a week in a bucket outside on the patio. The mixing with the soil was based off some reading through Eyes On Fire's review and thoughts on Kindsoil. The cooking for a week with the castings and molasses was mostly to get things going again because it had really dried out in the pot while I was deciding what to do with it.
I then supplemented with the compost teas using the tea mixes from TLOSoils. I didn't have the teas as early as I'd have liked so missed out on the early, root development stage teas. Also in retrospect I think I should have increased to about once a week with the teas after they got into flower, but gave 'em every two for most of the grow. I did give them a cal/mag supplement (Earth Juice brand) in between the teas.
