Hello everyone. I am about to medically retire from the Army and am moving home to Oklahoma where I can grow legal meds and get off of all of these poisonous psychotropic the Army has me taking (14 pills a day).
I will be growing in a Verosun 4X4X7 tent with a 6" Exhaust and lighting with a Timber VS COB and red and blue bars in the corners to supplement. I have not grown in years and was a DWC guy back then.
I keep hearing that kind soil is to "hot" for autos but yet I see grow after grow on YouTube where guys mixing kind with Coco Loco only water with a PH balanced water the entire grow and they have zero problems. I will be tuned in to this network from now on and look fwd to starting my 1st medicine grow and taking you all with me on the way. Any input will be appreciated. Oh, I should be starting my grow in about 3 months. Plenty of research time. Thanks! ✌

I have been using Coco Loco for a few years and this is the first I've seen mixing with Kind. Especially with no nutes etc. Interesting. The Kind website advertises it as hot, so it must do the job. Ocean Forest is hot and one starts nutes after weeks 3-4.
Hey, it's great to see that you are gonna make the change to marijuana/cbd. Marijuana/cbd should have been introduced by the VA a longggggggg ago. Keeping so many people on so many rx drugs is very frustrating and harmful for the long road. Glad you will be getting your right head back. Good luck.

In my experience, as opposed to being hot, the Kindsoil didn't have enough juice to get an auto finished on its own. I followed the instructions to a t. If you look back in my post history, you can see where I ran into deficiencies before the end. If you're set on using Kindsoil and keeping it organic and simple, you can supplement with Roots Organic Uprising Bloom by top dressing periodically through flower and maybe brewing a few teas here and there if you want to get fancy. I ran quite a few plants successively with Kindsoil on the bottom half of the 3-gallon pot and Biobizz Lightmix or Roots Organic on the top half and always ran into the problem of the soil wearing out before the end of the grow. Once I started top dressing early in flower, everything got better.

Awesome. Thank you for your response. This is the type of good feedback I am looking for. I can't wait to start this adventure and do a grow journal.

Sure thing, feel free to ask me any other questions you may have and thank you for your service!

I am just finishing a kind soil /roots organic grow. I however did not follow the instructions to a "T"
I used a 1 gal pot and grew Mephisto 24K and Sour Crack. I used just over 1lb of kind soil in each pot and topped off with Roots Original.
I did this in a small grow cabinet 9" deep X 16" wide X 35" tall with CFL lights.
My well water ph'd to 6.4 so that is all either plant has had. Nothing else.

It was my experience that they did not fully fill out due to the inevitable rood bound situation. This was on purpose in order to limit their size.
The 24K only got 11" tall but she yielded 1/2 zip of some very nice smoke. ( all in 51 days)
The Sour Crack is still going and she is larger at 18-19" tall. She is day 56 and will go for 60-65.
Once again, will not reach anywhere close to the "perfect conditions" yield....but looks to be about 20-30g

Hope this helps

A 1-gallon pot is not big enough for anything worthwhile in most growing situations and least of all with super soil like Kindsoil. Next time, go with a 3-5 gallon pot. That being said, I think you got some decent weight from that 24K! It sounds like you've got the basics down. You just need to scale it up a bit to get some good quality bud and enough to make it worthwhile for the time you're investing. Thanks for sharing your results.

You hit the nail on the head. It was my first grow and I just wanted to see if I could get from a seed to my bowl. Now that I have completed a grow, I am starting a Grape Walker Kush with 3lbs kind soil in a 3 gal pot topped off with Roots as well as a Sweet Nurse CBD in a 3 gal pot with my own organic soil mix. I am hoping to get 2-3 oz at least from this cycle.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Chopped today at day 61. Looks like about an oz or there about. Not bad for a 1 gal pot....however cant wait to see what the Grape Walker Kush does that I am starting. She is in a proper 3gal pot with 3lbs kind soil. Pics below of the Sour Crack.
