Just about to germinate my first ever seeds!

My last 3 grow's, [ have only done 3,all outdoors ] i started giving Fox Farms nutrient's at 3 weeks.Half strength, twice a week. Some give nute's earlier,i read way too much info about burning new seedlings. Good luck!
Yeah I'm coco so I was thinking if starting the feed them a lot sooner than 3 weeks

I let them settle in and start themselves off for the first few days. 3-4 days they should have a good set of first true leaves. They have enough stored nutes in their cotyledon leaves to get them a couple weeks with no added nutes.

That said in Coco it is a good idea to start slowly introducing nutes pretty early. I started at 1/4 strength using the Coco For Cannabis DTW schedule(already reduced from GH schedule) and got it up to their full strength week one levels in a few days.

The good thing about the Coco/Perlite mixture is you can feed a couple times a day with a few ounces of water then start with the nutes slowly. I didn't worry about any runoff till at least a week in with nutes. Also because you can feed more often you can work up the nuts strength quicker and easier. This is all assuming your coco is behaving as it should and not holding too much water.(why it's a good idea to rinse the Coco peat away when prepping Coco)

Just take it slow and watch the plants carefully. They will tell you if something is wrong. Just have to be mindful and know what to look for.

Good luck!

Solid advice, thanks mate. So I'll count 3-4 days from today and give them their first feed of low dosage nutes. All the little kents have broken soil today. I sprayed water on them twice today, once this morning before lights off and then 12 hours later this evening phed to 6.1. I took some pictures like promised, first up is a group shot, see if you can spot the little fellas amongst all that perlite... likes like theres a bit too much? haha.:baked:

I set the plants out alphabetically from left to right we have Lemon AK, Gelato, Zkittles. And named them numerically from top left.:cool1:

Heres a couple of pictures of the 2 biggest ones for the moment

My temperature fluctuates from 22-27C (72-80F) Hard to keep a steady temp and I try to keep humidity between 60-80%. Heres a pic of the temps and humidity after I took those pics and watered the girls.

That is an ambitious first run, but so far so good!

Just stick to the LITFA technique for a few days, and as often as possible while providing all it needs.

Keeping things simple and letting nature take its course is often the hardest part.

Cheers!

Haha yeah it is maybe! Well when I get into something I go all in hehe

Whats the LIFTA technique?? And yeah letting nature take its course is tough. I check them every few hours and its crazy the amount they change! Hardest was germinating them nothing much happened for the first 2 days and since its just been an explotion. I have never grown anything in life except for the usual little plants in school. Loving watching them grow at the moment! Cant wait to cure em up and smoke them haha.

Enjoying my new hobbie!

My air pump came yesterday so I am bubbling away some water for the girls later today. I also noticed last night after I sprayed them with some water that they are, in my opinion getting quite leggy. I measured the 2 taller ones today and they were 8cm long just over 3 inches for my american brothers.... so I lowered the light a bit. Found this a bit strange as I have been measuring the lux readings just above their little heads and it reads from 5000-6500 which I have read is in the ideal range of 5000-7000 for seedlings. But need to pay attention to the signs they are showing me hey! Or maybe they are not leggy at all. Lights wont be on for another 4 hours yet.

Also I am having trouble with my ph pen. Its an Adwa I doubt anyone has heard of them but I got it off a european hydro store online where I got my tent from. Got their ec reader too and they were like 40 odd euros each so I thought they would be decent. I test it in 7ph recalibration fluid before I test my water and the reading is never the same, I have to recalibrate the ph pen before every use, and I use it daily! And sometimes it takes an age to get an actual reading. And checked anfew reviews on amazon for the product and people have the same problem... very disappointed with it. Would like to replace it, maybe even the ec pen too. Any reccomendations guys?
