Just about to germinate my first ever seeds!

It's not rocket science,its tending to a weed !....lol..i was quite nervous when my first plant took off,couldnt figure out why it wasnt dying....it just grew and grew!

Haha yeah, I suppose youre right! After 12 hours in the paper towels the 2 Zkittles starting showing their tap root, just the Lemon AK seeds havent cracked or anything yet. Gonna check again in 12 hours. How long can I leave these little bastards in the wet paper towels for?? and how long should I give the AK seeds before I start germinating other seeds?

A few days in paper towels should be long enough. As soon as i see a tap root i place in soil.

Checked again roughly 12 hours later and the taproots for the AK have finally popped! The taproot for the Zkittles has grown so much in the last 12 hours its crazy. I dont know whether to wait another 12 hours or to plant them all now. Will leaving the taproots get to long affect the plants badly in anyway?? Attached some pics to show

Alright mate, well I decided to just plant them into their pots anyway. The tap root on the ak had grown a little bit since I took those pics. I gave them a spray of the same ph water I used yesterday too. Excited and hoping they all sprout!

Looks good. Now let them do their thing.

As mentioned you shouldn't worry about when they come up out of soil as much as when they go in. They won't necessarily grow at the same rate or pop the same time.

Usually 1/2 inch or even a quarter inch is just fine and I find makes it easier and safer to plant them well.

I reckon all the girls should have popped their heads above ground by this evening! I'll upload a pic later today when I get back from work. My question is, when should I start feeding these little babies nutes. Been nothing but tap water left out for 24 hours phed to 5.9-6.0 sprayed on top of them for the moment. Started the germination process on Saturday evening.

My last 3 grow's, [ have only done 3,all outdoors ] i started giving Fox Farms nutrient's at 3 weeks.Half strength,twice a week.Some give nute's earlier,i read way too much info about burning new seedlings. Good luck!
