Jock Horror Auto - Deformed leaves.

Yeah I usually grow some regulars and the tall autos outside. This year outside I grew 4 Super Cali Haze autos and got over 10 ounces off of them. Nice sativa good stone and big buds I am very happy with it and I will plant more of it next year. It has become my favorite outside auto. I got 4 types of regulats outside some in the ground and others in containers on my upper balcony. I am just starting to harvest my BeeJay which is a very early good yielding regulat. My wifes favorite pot. It is a Jack Herer old type X Bob Marley cross that I have been growing for years.

I got some new ones that I am growing outside but too early to give much of a report on them as none have finished. They are all srarting to bud and another month and most will be finished.

Yes it is nice down here this time of year. a lot of rain this year but most days are top down on our summer car and tshirt and shorts. Leaves are not turning yet. Still totally green

My wife takes the pictures and I will get her on the case after next week. I just had a hard drive failure on my computer so I lost all my old pictures sob sob..

Those SCH autos seem real nice, I have only seen them in fem. seeds though, I would like to get some regular ones, 2.5 ounce average per plant sounds good.
I like the sounds of that JHxBM, bet it puts out a good yield, ever think about trying to turn it into an auto?
Weathers been about the same here too, just colder
That sucks about your hard drive, a good investment is one of those portable hard drives you plug into your USB on your computer, you can get a 1-2 TB one for around $100 then you always have your important data, etc, safe and can bring it with you if you go somewhere if needed.

I do think about breeding the Super Cali Haze. Through the Winter I will breed a female to Russian Rocket Fuel and Auto Assassin. I got regulars for both of those. I have never seen regulars offered for the Super Cali Haze only Fems. I guess if the RRF and AA don't produce antthing close to what I would like then I might try to turn a Super Cali Haze to breed with. Yeah I know all the arguments of why I shouldn't do it so everyone save their breath and let me have some fun.

Strangely enough I have a remote hard drive and I was useing it to download movies to watch on my TV and it died about a month ago so I lost everything I had backed up on that as well - wicked bummer.

The Bee Jay is only a few weeks behind the SCH cause it is so quick as a regular. I don't know whether iot is worth turning it into an auto. I will however start looking into some ruderallis as their is lots of it around Kingston. Any growing wild up in your area. It would be fun trying to turn a few of the later ones I like a lot like Durban Poison and Chocolope Jackalope. Maybe even Jean Guy which is a great Quebec pot. Do you know that one?

I think SCH and AA would be a good mix, keep it sativa dom too. I haven't seen any ruderalis growing around here wish there was though it would be fun to play with and start from scratch on making an auto.
Heard of Jean Guy, never had it though but one day hopefully, I have a lot of french in me so I'd probably enjoy it :D

Breeding is always such a crap shoot. I think good luck has more to do with it than anythiig else. I breed for one thing and end up not achieving what I was looking for but get something else unexpected. Sometimes good and sometimes not so good.

I just harvested the BeeJay from outside. The plant yielded about 1/2 a pound The BeeJay finished two weeks after the super Cali Haze. It yields great outdoors and is dynamite pot. When I crossed this what I was looking for was to get the Jack Herer bred to something that would stop the JH from herming which it had a tendancy to do. Yes the BJ doesn't herme but also what I got was a wicked early regular plant that is a good Indica Sativa mix, great smoke , good yield, disease resistant. easy to clone from, easy to grow and stone very similar to the original jack which is totally great. Yup it was shit ass luck. You just have to win sometimes when you keep trying. Yup I will be growing her next year again.

So far I have tried to breed an auto for my indoor bubbly tank that is just the right pheno to give me great SOG characteristics. I tried first with Mi5 by breeding the pheno which is mostly a single colon type. I figure the normal seeds I buy are about 20% that pheno. I chose the pheno I liked and bred it to the same pheno. I got up to F3 and still no consistant single colon pheno with anymore than about 40% the single colon type. I gave up and started with an Mi5 Xsnowryder cross. By the F3 point I have about 70 % of the pheno I want. The next step is to Fem this pheno and keep going carefully picking the good phenos. I know all the experts will tell you about how bad what I am doing is but it is what I want so I 'm gonna do it. Maybe by F7 I will have what I want. Wouldn't it bne great to look in the tank and see 100% of the same pheno growing. If I saw that in someone elses tank I wouldbe so impressed.

That is a pretty quick photo, and nice yield, how tall does it get?

Good luck getting that pheno your after
70% is still pretty good though, have you back crossed it with the pheno you like from either the Mi5 or Snowryder?

The BeeJay gets about 6 ft. high. It is a very similar size to the Super Cali Haze. Much different smoke and stone. Very nice smell. Got a little more scent with only a trace of the skunk heritage from the Skink 1 in the Jack Herer. The rest of the smell is mostly sweet perfumy but not fruity. Has a nice hard hitting front end and fades to a good glow. Good to play and listen to music on and talk is usually very energetic.

No I haven't back crossed it yet but it is a good idea. I will continue to breed it to itself a few more times and I will do so and hope the pheno rate will climb to about 90 %. Maybe about F5 or so. If this doesn't work maybe I will backc ross it and see if that helps. Maybe some other breeder will have brought out a good sog style plant with steady pheno by then. Not time wasted on my part as I love growing and breeding almost as much as football.

Sounds like a very nice strain, I prefer sativas, I have a few new strains I plan on breeding next spring, hope it's worth it.

I always smoke sativas in the morning so I can function through the day. I save the ibndicas for the evening. I usually grow wome of each indoor and the same outdoor. Still waiting for a few of my outdoor plants to finish.

What are you crossing for planting next Spring?

Do you plant outdoors in mid may? that's about the earliest I'm able to, I'm crossing some thai, haze, great white shark and an auto from Short Stuff, I'm saving what is getting crossed with what till after it's done ;)

I have a few goals though, make an early sativa for growers up north, make an outdoor auto for guerrilla growing up here that puts out a good yield and is sativa dom.
I'm sure there is strains like that already, but I would like to have a go at making my own just for the fun of it

I so totally agree have fun growing and breeding. Nothing bad can come from it. I will be ordering some more Cali Haze seeds for next year and will be breeding to it for sure.

I am going for an outdoor Afghani 1 and some sort of Kush for next year. Outdoors will be more of Cali Haze and BeeJay next year. The long season pot I sm going to let go as why bother with late season stuff. It doesn't seem to be any better.

I don't have much to do in the Spring to get my beds ready. I prep and feed them in the Late Fall and plant them as soon as I am comfortable that the long range forcast isn't calling for frost. Some times I get it anyway but pot isn't like basil and tomatoes they are fairly hardy and I am always ready to run down and tarp the little girls.
