Hello AFN!
Been reading the forums here for a while as I'm new to autos (and growing weed in general - this is only my second grow and my first had many problems and an early harvest), so I thought I'd hop in here and share my experience. And hopefully get some advice as well. My main motivation for making this journal is to document my grow for myself so I can look back on it and learn from my mistakes. So sit back and enjoy the ride!
And I must add - I LOVE this strain so far. The smell is incredible, like sweet blackberries picked right from the bush. The color is even the same! Did Dutch Passion cross breed this with literal blackberries?!?

Room Specs:
Small, odd shaped closet - I hate not having a square room)
(2) 3 gallon fabric pots
Canna Coco (brick)
Canna Nutrients (A+B, Rhizo, Cannazym, PK13/14) + CaliMagic
Molasses
600W HPS with Dual Spec Bulb
6" Carbon Filter/Fan combo - way over-powered. When I was ordering I thought "better safe than sorry", but it's definitely overkill. Its hard to keep temps/humidity above 70F/40%, but there is 0 smell coming from the room which is most important.

Note: This is my first journal, so let me know what you want to see, or if I should be doing anything different as far as updating/sharing info goes. Also, I've taken an absurd amount of pictures so let me know if they are uploaded properly as I've never done this before.

I germinated 2 Dutch Passion Auto Blackberry Kush seeds in January. Seedlings emerged on 1/29/18, making this day one. I'll try to get you all up to speed as smoothly as possible...while keeping this as organized as I can.

I've definitely had my fair share of mistakes, but I think the plants have handled it well. My yield won't be great, but I don't need a huge supply of bud. I'm mainly growing for the love of growing. I am currently fighting off Nitrogen Toxicity, apparently the Canna nutrient line is pretty potent, so I have dialed back the Canna A and should start to see the claw disappearing. Watering around 1 gallon @ 800-900 ppm once every other day.

B is doing noticeably better than A, which I believe is due to a stronger root system around day 30 when my coco dried out too much causing issues...so it handled the stress better and was less stunted overall.

I'll update in a bit showing the next round of plants I started around 3/1/18, 2 Mephisto Sour Hound, 2 Seedsman Auto Lemon, 1 Dutch Passion Blackberry

Thanks everybody!

Do you have speed control on your fan ? If not get one & run it on low & that would help keep your temps & humidity up . Good luck with the grow & beware it’s addictive .

Round 2: 1 gallon pots
2 Mephisto Sour Hound
2 Seedsman Auto Lemon
1 Dutch Passion Blackberry Kush
+
1 Blackberry Kush in a 3 gallon pot

Let me say, the Sour Hounds have been the best seedlings I have ever grown. They are fast growing, and look a little pale, so I plan on upping the nutrients by a little bit and watching the magic. My BBK looks healthy, similar to its older sisters when they were the same age. The Lemons, on the other hand, have been small from the beginning, and one of them is showing very strange growth patterns (single leaves on the second set, opposed to the classic tri-petal leaves) ((see pic))
I started some minor LST to pull the plants to one side of the pot, so once they start stretching, I can make the most of my space. I'll line my pots up and have one plant leaning to the left, the next to the right, and so on to give each one some more space.

Having multiple strains is making it very clear to me how each plant has a specific nutrient profile that they prefer. I will mix up individual nutrient solutions to match their needs to the best of my ability...aka trail and error and hopefully a lot of luck. I am already seeing some deficiencies in the Sour Hound, and some toxicity (some over-watering in the Lemons and some nitrogen toxicity).

I am watering these girls every other day to every day - until water starts dribbling out the bottom, at 300-450ppm. Sometimes I reach 20-30% runoff, but most times I get 5-10%.

Hey bro, Welcome to The Forum.
I agree with @Burn victum, a fan speed controller with high low and off is really useful. What kind of lights are you running? Looks like you're in Coco, that's my preferred medium. I've grown that strain a couple times it seems to throw one phenotype I prefer over the other. It's been awhile so I can't quite remember.

You could probably Google my name and the Dutch Passion blog and come up with the review on one of my grows with this strain.

Hey Burn! Thanks for stopping by!

Yea I have it dialed down to the lowest setting, and I poked some holes in my ducting right before it exists the closet, so that some of the warm air recirculates back in. I was going to poke more holes, but since its a perpetual closet, I'm trying to reach a happy medium for both young and old plants

Thanks Jingo, I'll search around for it. I'm under 600w hps, turned to 100% of course. (My ballast doesn't have the boost option). And yea, it definitely seems like I have 2 different phenos. A tends to have much fatter fan leaves than B, showing more indica, which also accounts for the shorter stature and quicker time to flower. Its a lot more purple at this point as well <3

You could get a 4 in fan with lower cfm. They make adapters so you can run a 4 in fan with a 6 in filter. Man I want to grow some DP bad , but can’t find it in the state’s . I tried Bud Aroma & got burnt, $ 100 bucks & they never came . Lots of good strains in the state’s , just want something new to me .

That's a real shame mate. I ordered through seedsman and was able to get them in the states no problem, maybe check them out.
I just don't want to buy a new fan and let this one lay around collecting dust

Day 57 today - had to take off work so I did quite a bit of training. I was planning on leaving the plants completely natural for my first auto grow, but I saw the opportunity to get the light onto way more bud by bending down all the branches and opening up the canopy. I was very conservative on trimming, I think I took off about 15 leaves total between the two of them. Forgot to take pictures of my big girls, I'll add them in later.

As for the second set of plants, one of my auto lemons is having a rough time. She didn't take the Rhizo foliar spray well at all and I can tell she has a weak root system. Im letting her dry out some more to get the roots to spread, but if she doesn't recover soon I don't know if I'll keep her. The Sour Hounds and Blackberrys are doing ok as well. I have some Mega Crop nutrients by Greenleaf that I've been wanting to test, and might feed them with that while they veg. Right now their on 2ml Canna A+B and 15ml Rhizo/gallon at 5.8-6.2 pH. I think it came out to like 400ppm.
Oh and I added a layer of perlite to the top of each plant. Thoughts on that? I want to stop some of the evaporation...although now that I'm thinking about, my nutrient solution evaporates from the sides as well in a fabric pot. So maybe I'll take it out, maybe I'll leave it in...I'll have to see what Jim says about it.

Here are some pictures. Day 19 I think?
C and F - Blackberry
D and E - Sour Hound
G and H - Lemon

Wow mate that is next level shit. Awesome work, lol patting myself on the back for choosing coco after seeing those monsters in 3 gal pots. I think the different phenos are going to make everything a bit more fun.
