Indoor JammyD/3wok/O-utan in soil

I pulled the 3BOG and replaced with Jack Herer. 3BOG sprouted and was growing but NEVER produced any leaves. I gave her 5 days above ground to show progress. No bueno! Oh well, onward we go.

I have seedlings in transplant pots I have the cups sitting in 5 gal pots in the tent. I noticed roots coming out of the bottom of the cups at 7 days old.

my Question is do I wait to transplant? Transplant now? Remove the cups from the pots? Not really sure what to do. I suspect that this is due to me keeping them in the 5gal pots and the roots grew down. I was keeping pots damp to provide humidity to the tent. Roots seek moisture. Arghhhh! @pop22, @MrAutoGrower

Look like they are ready for final pots. Certainly looking for more root room.
Looking through seed stash last night, still have single seeds from my first grow. 00seeds jack herer and sweet soma, think those are gonna be next go with a dble grape. As long as they germ it should be good. Oh, and a couple alfalfa pellets for good measure, lol.

In typical Big Sul fashion, I took action and transplanted On day 8. I was hoping to go 10-14 days prior to transplant, but that is BIG SUL’s timeline, not the babies. Instead of imposing my will, which is my method of operation, I am letting the plant dictate. Transplant was successful, but I can’t seem to get it right. I watered the cups last night and this morning the roots were increasing. They came out of the cups easily and I was successful in easing the roots back through the holes in the transplant pot without incident. My problem is that the soil in the bottom of the transplant pot is loose and when I go to put it in forever pot the soil collapses and falls off.

I hate transplant. It scares the shit out of me.

When you develop a protocol for transplanting and follow it strictly, transplanting is a breeze. Maybe I'll do a video. I once thought direct to final pot was the way to go, but I'm willing to bet my transplants are equal or better in the long run. I think the small amount of stress stimulates them. I've seen as much as 1.5" of growth in the first 12 hours after transplant! The key is really to water the seedlings 15-30 minutes before transplant. That makes the rootball less fragile. I've not had a damp rootball fall apart on me yet.

And don't transplant the cup! People call that tiering, I call it shoving roots through a funnel....

I’d LOVE to see a video.
