Man, that cup setup is genuis! Jacks gonna get crazy in that lil cup in a month or so.
Ive veen crazy behind so i apologize for not checking in bud.

Babies Day 23: The older ones have began stretching now while the youngest ones are still about 5 days away from it. I've culled 70% of the younger ones. The runts, and malnourished ones. Anything that gets an calcium craving from my COBs gets pulled like a weed, unusable for future grows. I'm down to 10 plants now, from about a handfull of seeds.

Somangos Day 103: The apical fan leaves are getting burned by my lights so hard. Look at the pattern, that's why I'm pulling plants with similar cravings from my baby breeding run.

Jack Junior Day 44: I'd like to re-iterate that this Jack Herer is growing in the volume equivalent of a solo cup.

You see this amount of foliage!? The only reason that's possible is because of the hempy bucket/sippie cup down below. Within one day the substrate(finely sifted coco so it holds more water)) is almost dry. As a matter of fact; In addition to that, by now, it also sucks dry the water down below until the next day.

When you do this yourself you have to make sure to poke holes in the res so water can overflow. With a setup like this you can grow plants in the desert without a full hydro setup but you need to generate a descent runoff so the salts from the previous watering/day are flushed out alongside the last sip of super salty water.

Wow, this some next level shit right here man.... nice work!

Dude you're a moderator.. if you get anywhere the level of complaints and kitchen spam I remember it's a wonder you got here that quickly.

Thanks.

I did take out some more babies and designated two fathers. They got their first sts treatment yesterday and will serve to pollinate the four mothers that are left standing.

Somangos Day 108: Just checked the trichs on a center popcorn bud and they are still gonna need time. There are still a lot of clears and not single golden one.

Jack Junior Day 51: I have a suspicion this one aint gonna fill out like it's predecessor did. I'd have to water it twice a day for that and no plant is getting any extra treatment from me. The whole point of my system is that you can grow anything the same way. The little res compensates but I don't think I'll win the competition. Still amazing to see how big a plant can get in such a small volume and time.

Babies Day 30: Three are shooting up like crazy now while the other three are staying quite squat. The fun part is.. each subset is 1male 2female.

So I can if I keep them appart once the males turn and pollinate carefully and manually like before; I can make two phenos, one stretchy and good for training and one squat for SOGs. The reason I am confident to do that in such a small space is because I don't use any fans to move air around the tent, the only fan in the room is the exhaust fan.. So the flowers don't get disturbed if I don't bump the plants.

I started the sts a few days ago, no visible changes yet. I wonder if the silver fell out of solution already.

Somangos Day 110: They better ripen quickly or I'm gonna smoke them alive. I took off a little budlet from the center/middle(to get a good average) and am drying that now. The smell is very lemony, they stretch like a sativa and have a bud structure like an indica. This is an interesting breed.
Now you may not think that they grow like a sativa.. but I mainlined(topped 7 times each) these plants and they are ~80cm tall(from pot lid). The sativa heavy Jack and Baby I grew before were half that height in bigger fabric pots.

The somangos is such a fine plant!

They are for sure. I just snipped some budlets from the one in the back and it seems to be much further ahead. There are no amber ones yet but also almost no clear ones anymore. Since I don't like the heavy smokes I am quick drying the test-buds now to check. If it's good the plant is coming down.

ohkay this one is a broadside to the frontal lobe, wow.

The bowl i smoked was from the (apareantly) younger plant(the one in the front) while the other stuff is still drying. but this one is already hitting like a grownup. damn. way more indica than I had expected.

Lol, glad its good! Some strains dont amber as much so it could be well done without amber.

Here are the last images of this Somango, just hung her up to dry after a rough trim. No clue how much it is but I cut it in 4 pieces and each of them weighed about as much as a quart sized mason jar.
