Yes mate. ^ that's her. (Stock picture, that's not us on board). I actually got the size wrong. 58 ft long, 7ft wide. I assume on a nice straight canal they steer properly!
There simply is no law regarding the consumption of alcohol on the river, I'm not sure if this is all of Britain's inland water ways or just the thames (they have a lot of regattas on the Thames for the posh twats).
We're going again next month. This time on something that looks like a motorised shed!

Yeah i guess steering that thing would be like a miniature version of a big tug boat pushing a string of barges on the Mississippi. Very awkward for starters. Add all the bends in the river, lots of tricky currents, and all of the ocean going freighter/tanker traffic makes for a real nightmare! Don't know how all the tug captains deal with that shite every day. Second one is more my speed - boating from the comfort of the couch!

I though all you guys have those boats with the fuck off propeller on the back in your neck of the woods? Only problem (and probably the reason for lax drink drive laws) on British waterways is the 7 knots speed limit. Getting overtaken by pedestrians on the toe path is odd, you over take them when the river meanders the other way, then half hour later they come past again.

In plant related news. Old mumma cheese is dead.

I've traced the source of her demise back to when I flooded the res and floated her, obviously did a lot more damage than I thought to the roots.

New mumma will get a loft spot early, meaning 7-9 weeks of vegging! What's that coming over the hill......

Exodus cheese cuttings. The net is to support the massive colas that these produce.

Sour diesels. A week or 2 for them.

I assume you refer to airboats. Only a small % of the local watercraft are airboats. They are good for waterways that are extremely shallow and/or chocked with vegetation. Very load though - hearing protection required!
