Indoor Is FFOF too "hot" or what?!?!

I started my seeds in a mix of 40% Ocean Forest and 60% Lite Warrior. I have not fed anything as of yet.

Here are my girls

I do believe that Fox Farms Ocean Forest is too hot for starting seeds. It is a great soil, but best used in conjunction with other products or on established plants.

:-) Jungle wise.....hahaha:crying: I was close its jungle growth water wise...lol yup I'm still a noob and what:dance:

Ok so problem solved, after some searching I finally found a local grow shop that has fox farm products and I just picked up a bag of light warrior. So the plan now is to place the seedling in the solo cups filled with LW. I was planning on just giving a nice water to the cups and letting the excess water drip out leaving the soil moist then planting the seed, good idea? Also, how long before transplanting into my 3 gallon pots of FFOF??

Yes, good idea, water it first as to make sure you don;t wash the seed down further. Just make sure it's moist not wet. Do no over water, it's one of the most common nube mistakes. I did it, it's easy. But good that you got some LW, you're set now.

Let them grow for about three weeks, until they show plenty of roots in the bottom of the cup. An easy way for a seamless tier later is to go ahead and cut the bottom off of your cups and place that into another uncut cup. That that makes it easy to check for roots and when you go to tier transplant you just pull it right out of the 2nd cup and there ya go. No having to worry about accidentally cutting the roots later when you would have needed to cut the bottom of cup that the plant is in the for transplant. See what I mean?

If they're reg seeds then most people wait until they sex, which is about the same amount of time so it works out either way. Hope this helps.

So basically when its time to tier you say pull out the first cup which has the bottom cut off and place the whole thing, cup included, into the 3 gallon pot? Am I geting that right?

Yes sir that's it. Plant it cup and all so that it covers about half of the cup or so. Be easy with it but it should all hold together fine when the roots get going.

i wish foxfarm sold a 40/ 60 mix of light warior and ocean forrest pre potted .as oppose to buying sepratly. and potting yorself. that would be legit

I also went out and bought ffof before I discovered it was to hot for seedlings so I bought promix bx today and I was going to try the tier method, I have a question though, could I also put a cut down the side of the party cup that way instead of planting the entire cup I could just pull the cup apart and plant the flower?

The whole point of the party cup was to create a method of moving from small to large container without disturbing the roots at all. What you'd be doing is basically transplanting, which is OK if you are very careful. Some autos can be more sensitive to transplanting than others.
