Indoor Iriee Vibez grows Blue Toof & DP Lemon Zkittle outdoors

Lemon Zkittlez outdoor at Day 42. Damn may be two more months of vegging. They can’t get much bigger than this in 3 gallon pots, right?

Day 47

I have been gone all week, but the plants don't seem to care. BT1 is turning into a really nice plant. If everything I hear about Mephisto Mid to late flowering bud growth holds true, There is a strong probability that the buds stack and fatten nicely on all colas. She certainly has the structure to hold a lot of weight. One this is for sure, though, trimming will be much easier this time around! Starting to get a nice little aroma, too.

BT2 is doing well, also. She is the smaller plant, and about a week behind, so there could be some more stretch left in her. She won't be as large, but looks like a lot of bud sites to fatten up.

The Lemon Zkittlez outside are starting to worry me. They still have almost two months of vegging, and one is already nearly four feet tall. With the heat here, they are drinking a lot. Can any outdoor soil photo growers comment. They should stop growing vertically soon, right? Especially in 3 gallon pots. If they stretch like auto stop in flower, I am in trouble.

Is @TheMongol here? He is an outdoor grower may be able to help with the above.
Off the top of my head I'm not sure, there are some growing in the Big Battle if you want to even post the pic and ask in there.
I can't believe how much they have shot up!!

Not sure if this helps, but it's a calculator for stretch that I found that is kinda cool to play with. Goes my number of days total flower time.

Crap!! I just looked at it again it's pretty much for indoor but I am leaving it up in case it's of some use. Sorry!

Thanks Riv! I appreciate it. It was interesting, but doesn't confirm my question regarding vertical height during extended veg period for outdoor photos. My hope is that vertical growth stops before Flower due to the long veg period and smaller pot. @MedCzech what do you say as a long time outdoor grower?

Each strain is unique. Hard to say really how much more theynwill stretch. Top them if you are worried about height bro, just like we do indoors. They look great though...don't forget you didn't even think they would grow at all, so don't get too greedy now. Top them if needed and move on. It ain't rocket science...:coffee2:

Supercropping, and other options like bending them over and timing them down with some string also can manage height. You have very little space restriction, so there is a lot that can be done to manage that. Just get creative man. The good news is this...you are definitely getting some dank outdoor buds from this grow. Huge bonus from your thinking a few months back. Well done on that front man!

As I say, keep rockin man. You got this...:headbang:

Thanks for chiming in, Med. Yeah, I am going to just smoke a joint and not worry. If she gets too tall, I will just bend her over. I actually have a couple more feet to go before it's even an issue, any way. It's just hard for me to get used to, too much muscle memory of height constraints from cabinet grows!

And you are right, I am feeling a lot better about the plants being able to handle the heat through veg. I am having to give them more shade than I would prefer, though. If I have to do that in flower, there will be a tradeoff in yield, but I won't complain! Just happy things are going okay so far!

I am here now:smoking:

Iriee, if this is Lemon Zkettles photoperiod and you growing in your own garden? Then :crying:3 gal would be a nice experiment to let in.:pighug: Depending where you are and your climate photoperiods can get up to 3 meters and more only in veg:biggrin: then with stretch in bloom they can easliy reach 4.5 meters and stretch will last till mid 09/19. So if you want to keep this beautiful plants i would recommend at least a 13 galon pot or grow bag, better plant them in the ground of your garden. To keep her in hand you can top and suppercropp her also topping side branches and having lots of nutes in the back.

I growed 12 photoperiod plants last year in 50 liter/13 gallon grow bags and they were all around 3.5 - 4 meters of height at the end:biggrin:

Tell me....

Are you legal or not?
Is this in your own garden?
Do you have neighbors, cool ones?
What feeds?

Also helpful what i did 2 years ago to keep a plant in range, i topped her and kept her growing in a Scrog net outdoors and at least she had a canopy of more then 2x2 meters / 6.5 feet and it worked and i could her keep at 1.5 meters height, it was a Durban Poison/DP a true outdoors champion.

Smoke one:pass:
