Just am starting to have some high cbd strains in flower... Got a cannatonic and a cbd crew sweet and sour widow, which even amongst the high cbd strains it's still going to depend on you and what pheno works best ect for you.... No two plants are identical and to me that's part of the entire fun of this hobby and what drives me... To find the ones that work the best for me... Check out Captain Howdy's thread he just finished up an incredible looking medihaze by cbd crew..,

The higher the CBD is obviously the goal.

Hopefully other members will help advise here.

Sohum seeds if you are a patient in CA is a good one,

But there are some strains on Herbies, and Attitude, also the site sponsors who have high CBD strains.

Just go to one of the sites, and use the search options they provide.

Trying to advise on a strains is a tricky subject, but only you know exactly what you will need.

With that said Auto's generally have a higher CBD rate, though that is not as true as it used to be.

Hope that gives you an idea.

Other's can chime in and let you know about other strains they like I am sure.

Peace

Eek

Thanks Eek - I'm 3 weeks into a blue auto mazar grow now that I'll use for the first batch. I was thinking of doing at least one high CBD for my next crop (prolly DP's CBD Kush). If all goes as planned I'll give the thread a comparison update in four or five months.

Hey Yodaman,

Yeah, I always decarb. I prefer lower heat longer decarb over high heat short roast. Some batches are more trippy or sleep inducing than others but like you say, that's part of the fun. I'm starting to look at oils now for getting lower concentration cannabanoids. "Supposedly", coconut oil among all others offers the greatest bioavailability. Don't know if that's true but when you're talking CBD content from 5% all the way down to .3 or less, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the advice!

Hello Leela

Glad you have decided to try the EIO (Eek's Intense Oil)

It would be great if you could come back and do a write up on it whence you get finished. I don't usually use the word Whence, so whenever you get to it, lol.

Hope it helps, and I mean that.

Hi there I'm new to this forum, so 'Hi' :)
I have a question for Eek, I have a chronic liver condition, Hepatitis C, and cirrhosis, and would like to know if there is any way CBD would help. l am fortunate enough to be able to manage two crops of Auto's this year (well the last one is a month old). I can get 4-5 at a time with staggering the germinations nearly 3 crops of 5 is poss. would this be enough to make any worthwhile amount of meds.? BTW I grow outdoors as you guessed. Cheers, Lorcanlive

Hey LorCanLive,

There is some help to be had here. You need to do a few things to keep yerself on the UP side of this stuff.

PH, get your PH up, it will help battle disease, where it is hard for them to live in a Strong PH environment.

Also, make sure you are Oxygenating your blood. Olive Leaf and Bicarb soda (which helps with PH) should help. Also Excercising should help with that as well.

When it comes to Cannabis, you need to concentrate on pure clean cannabis ingestion. Clean because of your liver issues, you don't need your liver having to deal with detoxifying your medicine before it can actually work.

I would look into juicing too, no one actually knows how clorohpyll helps in our daily lives, but studies show it Does help to have it in your body.

Look at your diet. eat things your liver doein't have to metabolize. I sure you already know about this. And for gosh sake's do not drink alchohol.

RSO which has been fully purged, is good.

But if you can get something extracted by cleaner methods.

Smoking has it's own health issues.

Try for High CBD strains. Auto's tend to have more CBD's as a general rule.

Root will be along with some more clinical information.

bye for now

Hepatitis C - The Silent Killer
Can Medical Cannabis Help?

Jay R. Cavanaugh, PhD

Can medical cannabis help?
The short answer is yes. The primary role of cannabis is to stimulate appetite, reduce nausea and vomiting, and treat joint pain. This role is applicable to HCV patients undergoing chemotherapy, those with cancer or cirrhosis, and those with joint pain and headache. Cannabis is far less toxic than other medications that might be prescribed for these conditions and where liver impairment is concerned, it is vital to avoid toxicity. Cannabis may help alleviate the depression often produced by chronic illness and by combination drug therapy. Additionally, cannabis based food products may provide needed extra nutrition without taxing the liver.
Using cannabis in place of alcohol is an established harm reduction technique particularly important when liver disease is present.
Perhaps more important but still unknown is the possibility that some of the chemical components of cannabis (the Cannabinoids) may actually reduce liver inflammation and slow the progression of both cirrhosis and Hepatocellular carcinoma. The cannabinoids have been shown to be powerful anti-inflammatories and anti-oxidants. They have also been shown to have anti-neoplastic activity, at least in gliomas (a form of brain cancer). Cannabinoids both slow programmed cell death (apoptosis) in normal cells while accelerating apoptosis in cancer cells.
Since cannabis is nontoxic it might as well be tried, particularly in patients who have chronic progressive disease that is likely to result in death. It is important to point out that whole cannabis (whether smoked, vaporized, elixir, or in food products) is preferable to Marinol. The prescription drug Marinol contains only one cannabinoid (THC) and lacks the other healing properties of the whole herb and its extracts. Dosing is up to the physician and patient. Usually patients "self-titrate" or use only what they feel they need for symptomatic relief. This may be a mistake as the protective effects of cannabis are best achieved with a steady state minimal blood level of Cannabinoids. It is recommended that a base line level of Cannabinoids be maintained with regular doses of oral cannabis products and the smoked or vaporized form of cannabis used for acute symptomatic relief.
