Harvest & Curing Integra Boost packets massive test thread

@GoAuto6

Same shit's happening to me, I'm finding these packs don't increase humidity very fast. I have a few slightly over dried plants that are about 52-56%, and the packs have been in there for 3 days and no real change. I'd like to know if you waited and what ended up happening. I understand that could be normal too; I really don't know how fast these things work... I've never used anything like it before. I have 1-2 packs for every ounce.

@BigSm0 You say yours stabilized in about a week so I'm hoping it happens soon... lol

At least I have some stuff to help me be patient though. :smoking:
Mine stabilized within a few days, and I think I had some like at 50%...

I'm seeing them rise slowly... one went from 57 to 59 so far. Probably 60 today but I haven't checked.

Lolwut. I opened the jar yesterday @ 59% very briefly just to smell it and grab a bud, and closed it back up... only to find it back to 57% today.

I guess I let the moisture out and it went back to the buds RH.

Edit: Just a stoner thought as I do believe "humidity" rises, but I think these packs would work better if you loaded them all at the bottom of the jar.

Edit twoooo: I guess we'll find out, I took about 3oz of bud that was sitting at 52-53% for a while now, dumped it all out, put the 8, 8g packs on the bottom then put the buds back in and threw the hygrometer on top.

I put two hygrometers in there to get a better picture and one is sitting at 54, the other 56.

Edit: A few days later and meter 1 is at 54, and 2 is at 55. So I just took the packs out and added a... umm.... makeshift non-contact humidifier to the jar, lmao. Will report results but I'm being vague for now just in case I mold everything up and embarrass myself. [emoji106]

Edit 2: Fuck it, whatever. All I did was take my mini root pruner starter pots, cut a little off the top so they fit into a half gallon mason jar, and stuff a damp (not dripping) paper towel into it and place it upside down on the bottom, then dumped the buds in. The pot keeps the buds from touching the paper towel but the holes allow the moisture to escape into the rest of the jar. This morning it was already at 60% RH at the top of the jar.

I'm just speculating here, but I believe it's better to use the packs to maintain 62, not re-wet buds. You probably have to use 2 or 3 of the large packs to take 4oz of 50% RH buds and make them wet again, but once again I'm not sure, all I know is less than 100g of Integra isn't re-wetting very efficiently.

Edit 3: 63% currently w/ paper towel.

I do believe I over dried these as I said before, I'm gonna drop some small apple pieces in there to get them up to 62%

I've never used fruit but that would scare me. By the way @GoAuto6 my buds reached 73% by the next day with a little ball of damp paper towel(Once again, non-contact). So within 2-3 days it went from mid 50's to 73. I took it out and it's still 70-73, and the buds physically feel wetter again instead of crispy on the outside.

What I'm going to do, is get all my buds wet again, try for 62 not 70+, and then once they're close to normal add a lot of Integra, 2 large 67g packs in each half gal jar. The jars hold 3-4oz.

I never "treated" my "ukp1" yet, and that's still at low to mid 50's. Just for the sake of knowledge I'm going to leave it alone and use only Integra, with the larger amount of packs, and see if it's able to re-hydrate them.

The Way you did that was very very smart. I really think that your way to raise the humidity was one of the best ways I have seen yet.

I do have to say that I did put some buds and integra packs in jars a few weeks ago that really had a strong hay smell. I just open my safe to pull out a QP and it was one of the smelliest bags I have ever stuck my nose in. Slow is never fun but this absolutely saved an off a lot of product.
