Thanks @Ripper. My packed arrived the other day, I think the last to receive them. I have had great success with integra humidity packs in the past and can't wait to show the results here.
Luckily I have enough jarred goods in need of humidity control so I'll get right on the testing as soon as I can. A few things I'd like to mention as I have used humidity packs for well over a year is they are a sort of inexpensive insurance. All the work that goes into growing, trimming, curing and storing to let it all go bad in the end is devastating. It's happened to me before I knew such a product existed and there was no saving the full jars full of mold. Since I started using these I haven't had a spec of mold. Another thing is that as the curing process is so crucial to good canna having them at the right humidity after they dry and Just being so stable has made such a huge impact on the final outcome as far as taste and smell goes. Kicking that hay smell right in the ass for a few bucks a jar.
I think the local humidity level probably plays a big role on how well you can manage your jars without the assistance of packs like these, as well as your ability to work with your harvest and dry it to the ideal humidity level.
In cases like yours, the packs would only be like a cheat to get the buds to the right level, at which point you could probably remove the pack and store it in a ziplock bag. Where I live, it's too dry in the winter (around 45%) and very humid in the summer, don't know number, so the packs do help quite a bit.
When I chop a plant or two it's easy to control. When it's 4-5 lbs the packs are life savers. I also don't keep my stuff in my house and don't get to my room everyday so keeping an eye on it is tough. Set it and forget it.
