NEWS Illinois Legalizing Jan 1st 2020!!

They are making it about money and being a little greedy if you ask me. In essence they want you to buy their government weed which they contract the production of and rep 90% of the profits along WITH the taxes. F**king greedy ass bad Karma stuff. It should be about the people and patients benefiting and NOT just the government. This will not fix the state’s money problems but I think they are hoping it will some how. I thought it was about life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Just not in ILL’I nois!

I would say that 30 grams or less pardon is pretty big for alot of people. They are being greedy with it. It's illinois as well. Is "all" that money gonna be used properly lmao.. have the democrats found a way to steal the money without prison time?

:worship:

@Boognelson87 Democrats have been stealing money for a long time and republicans as well .... This bill will only give them more opportunities but at least records will be removed for those 30 grams/under ..... better than it was for sure and it should get better as time passes

@BISCUITS Good to hear your success, wish I could say the same but I wouldn’t give up the experience and my record never mattered with respect to any jobs but that was 1978 and is history, unfortunately I was a little over 30 grams, like 10,000 grams over - fortunately got probation and all turned out ok ...... yes on records removed 30 grams and under automatically but expect it to take some time before it happens ....

I do agree with NORML in that Bill is better than the old laws, medical now can grow and taxes are heavy but not close to Washington or California .....

Future will bring revisions hopefully!

Peace,
OB

It’s a start @OldBoy!

Five Plants and under will now be infraction- $200 fine ..... Should be ale to get medical card and grow five legal but even if not don’t think we will have issue with five plants and under - hopefully!

Can you get a medical card and keep a foid card for guns? Or is just legal narcotics and alcohol only allowed to keep your guns?

Per Federal law if you get a medical card you lose your 2nd amendment rights.

No idea IF they have prosecuted anyone under that, but the point is, they CAN.

I have a CCW that has reciprocity in about 3/4 of the country, and the possibility of losing my 2nd rights is the main reason I will not get a med card.
