New Grower Illini4life20. Perpetual grow. Primarily Mephisto beans

Day 18: Mephisto Grapey Walter
Day 14: Megabuds Beast Mode
Day 0: Advanced Seeds Gorilla Blue
Day 0: Seedsman White Widow

Temp: 75-80°f
RH: 50%
Light Cycle: 19/5
Light Height: 21 inches
Water: 1,750 ml 6.0 pH feed Grapey Walter and Beast Mode
100-200 ml misted on Gorilla Blue and White Widow to keep them moist during germ
Nutes: 2 g/gal MegaCrop 2.1 9-6-17 NPK

So had germ with the white widow seed I popped. That one was potted up today, and why there is a crowded tent right now. I might keep beast mode in the tent while I wait for it to heat up a bit outside. After that I think she will be going to the porch for my first ever outdoor grow. That's literally because I don't want to shit can her completely but I also don't have room in the tent.

Fed Grapey Walter and Beast Mode today with a half dose feed. They took the last feeding like champs so I'm sure they will appreciate this one too. This MegaCrop is really that easy. I've been more focused on pH this round so I've been testing all feeds. My last few waterings have been around 6.5-7 pH so I gave them a lower feed at 6.0 today. I buffered my soil with oyster shells at the beginning of this grow, so a little fluctuation in the feed pH should help the plants get all the nutrients they need. That's the plan at least.

Ordered my light from Mars hydro today, still waiting on shipping confirmation but I have heard it's still quick even with all this pandemic shit going on. Only a few more days of blurple photos and you can see my girls lit up in all their glory! Well peep the girls and let me know what you think! Till next time... :pass:

So Grapey Walter and Beast Mode are doing alright. Maybe beast mode just has nitrogen burn looking leaves? I took that as a flaw when I first saw it but she is thriving and growing well. Still waiting on Gorilla Blue's replacement and the white widow to poke their heads up. Should be soon I hope!

Onto logistical shit... Got my light schedule down to almost 18/6. Just been going down 30 mins each day. I know that's pretty fast, but better than a switch one day from 24/0 to 18/6. The girls seem to be doing fine with it. My quantum boards should be here on Monday, and I'm going to be installing those just about as fast as I can get them into the tent. I'm pretty hyped to up my light game, and the results under these lights are pretty dam good with the right conditions. Fingers crossed so I can pull some fat sticky buds!

Peep the girls and let me know what you think. Till next time :pass:

Day 20: Mephisto Grapey Walter

So Gorilla Blue and White Widow have finally popped their heads. They just opened up a couple of hours ago, almost in unison. Maybe they are twins? :dizzy:Anyways. I think the environment and everything else is much more squared away for these girls. Plus when the new light is in here I think these girls will absolutely thrive!

Grapey Walter is doing well, and is finally developing real side branching with nodes of its own. As it gets bigger I'm starting to think about when I'm going to start lst on her with the training wire. I'll probably wait til the next node develops and she is a bit taller and then I will bend it over so that the lateral branching can catch up.

Beast Mode is doing well. Still looks funky but maybe it's just the strain, or I'm going crazy. The later could definitely be the case. Either way she seems to be a large leafed and stretchy girl. I expect her to be pretty good sized plant based on the growth I'm seeing already.

Peep the girls let me know what you think! Till next time... :pass:

So all the girls seem to be doing well. I have started to do a little bit of leaf tucking on Grapey Walter to expose some of that undergrowth. It's really starting to ramp up growth, and I can't wait to see her start into the stretch.

Beast Mode is doing well, just a few days behind Grapey. Real fat indica leaf structure, and the side branching is starting to develop pretty well on this one too.

Both the babes are still doing their thing. Just been misting around them to keep the soil moist while that tap root gets fully anchored.

So things are just moving along. Been pretty bored. No waterings or anything for awhile. Grapey Walter and Beast Mode could have used a watering today, but they don't show any signs of being underwatered so I'll give em an extra day to let those roots really expand. Pots were pretty light, but hey the plants are looking fabulous so I'm just going to let them be. Grapey Walter is about to the point, 5.5 inches tall, that I think I'm going to bend her over and I start some LST. That will probably happen tomorrow at the rate she is growing...

Tomorrow I'm planning on hitting the girls with another half dose feed of MegaCrop. They really took nicely to the last feed at half strength so I think I'm going to keep it here for the next feed. I might try a 3/4 dose feed before we get into flower, and I need to cut the N back, but we will see as they have been responding well where we are at.

Onto a real 420 surprise... My new light should be here by the end of the day, it's only a few towns over when I checked on the shipping! Yay! Means the girls will get a switch to the quantum boards at some point in the next few hours!

Sorry for the "late" update. I got the ganja madness yesterday and passed out before my update. I didn't get my light on 4/20 which was kind of a bummer, but it did arrive today with enough time for me to get her in and running for about an hour before lights out. It's bright as fuck, pardon my French wee wee :crying:

The girls are looking good and Grapey Walter got her first LST last night. She is about to go into preflower, as she is starting to smell of a nice danky aroma. The LST exposed some crazy growth from the lateral branching and even in one night they are already taking shape and reaching for the light. This exposed at least 4-5 new tops to direct light. Let's see how things go with the new LEDs.

I gave Grapey Walter and Beast Mode a good feed at half strength. They have been bushing out nicely and haven't shown any signs that they are unhappy with this feed level. I'll probably do pHed water only on the next watering for those two. At this point I'm about ready to soak the whole pot and let those roots really expand. Big roots = big plant. I think they will appreciate the water only as they got hit with two feeds in a row.

The two little ones, Gorilla Blue and White Widow, are doing really well. They will be the true test of these new lights as they are only on day 3 right now. I'm excited to figure them out and see what they can do. They are supposed to be able to veg a 4X4 tent perfectly, and flower a 3X3 tent perfectly. I'm SUPER hyped:coffee:

So we have about half a day's worth of grow down with the new lights. Grapey Walter is really taking well to her LST and those lateral branches are starting to already turn up and reach for the sky. I bet we will have a great looking spread here in a couple days. Now comes the fun part to create whatever beast I want this plant to look like. Maybe a liger this round? Who knows :crying: I also did the first LST on Beast Mode, and she is actually looking great. To think I almost RIPPED her ass out... Still don't know what those issues were in the beginning but I'm glad that they are done!

I never quite realized how loud the 4, yes four, fans in my last light were. It's strange when I walk into the garage and don't hear the sound of those fans. I instantly run over to check and make sure the light is still on. I'm super hyped for this round now, and I can't wait to see what can be accomplished with the "apex" of growing technology today!

Enough rambling about my light now, there will be more time tomorrow I guess... Hahahaha peep the girls and let me know what you think! Till next time... :pass:
