Well gorilla blue was ready to come out of her shell and had about a half inch tap root after 2 days in paper towel germ. She got potted up tonight and is looking great so far. I expect to see her popping her head up and out of the soil in the next day or so.

Grapey Walter is looking good and those second leaves are really becoming distinct. I'm patiently, or not so patiently, waiting for that second node to start......... she got her first real watering today, since I watered down the pot before planting. Been keeping the water to a minimal and slowly working outwards now that she is starting to become more and more established.

Beast Mode is just doing her thing, and I'm really really happy that one of these girls made it to seedling stage. I would have been really upset, but hey the reefer gods are looking out for me I guess! Prayers for this fugly little girl... She needs em

Well till next time... :pass:

So I finally invested in a true pH meter. I have been using test solution and test strips for my first two grows. I could not get a definitive answer to what the actual pH was every time. This made it out to be a bit of a guessing game when it came to regulating feeds.

I just received an Apera Instruments pH meter today and it is so nice! I'll attach a link below. Less than $50 and it is really nice. I have been in the market for a minute looking for a quality, yet affordable, pH meter and I think I've got it with this one. It's super fast to read, 5ish seconds and it's settled down on a pH and will not fluctuate. Calibration is so easy and does not require tools, only the calibration fluid.

On to the main point of this post... I tested my tap water and it is sitting at 8.6 pH before any additional nutes. This is much higher than I thought it was, and hence why I probably had some nute lockout in previous grows. I'll definitely be on top of controlling my pH this round, and I hope that this will equate to some healthier and higher producing plants

I'm going to give a brief update today as I'm super swamped with work atm. Gorilla blue popped her head today and is finally coming out of her shell. That means if this one takes we will be off to the races with three different strains. This is the first run where I haven't had two of one strain running, and this is all new territory for me with genetics from these strains. I will be doing some hardcore research in the coming week to find a feed schedule for each girl respectively.

Well til next time, peep the girls and let me know what you think! :pass:

So we have lift off on all of the girls! Gorilla Blue finally kicked off her last bit from the seed casing and has spread her wings. Literally. I'm going to count this as day one for Gorilla Blue. She looks good and honestly has done great so far from germ, to popping first true leaves.

Grapey Walter is just doing her thang per the usual. The three fingers are already here on one side. Wasn't expecting a three fingers til the next node, but hey lets go girl! I'm excited to see this girl blow up right now! She I've seen grows of this plant, and if I can get her dialed in I'll be in for one hell of a treat come harvest time.

Beast Mode is doing well. Things are doing better after the setbacks of poor germ, 25% germ rate so far. To put into perspective these are the ONLY seeds I have ever dropped that have not taken 100%. Maybe I got some bad seeds? Maybe not but that's something I will consider next time when making strain selections. Either way, she is doing well now and the second set of leaves is coming in nicely!

Peep the babes and let me know what you think! Til next time... :pass:

So the girls are doing alright. Beast Mode is starting to look rough. Leaves turning into a look of nitrogen toxicity. Not really possible as I have not fed them, and this soil is not a hot soil by any means. Idk what's going on but I'm going to keep an eye on her. It got cold last night and before I realized it they were in the lower 60s for a solid 2 hours. Cranked the heater on and got the temps back up, but I hope they don't mind the little hiatus from their jungle conditions they love so much.

Besides that Grapey Walter did NOT shoot a three finger on her first node, it was a two finger mutant looking mofo. Whatever girl do what you need too! Gorilla blue has seems to be just chugging along. No issues I can think of with this one, and I'm quite happy to see how things will go!

Peep the girls and let me know what you think!

Got a little cold out there in the garage tonight so I had to install the heater again. Thought we were done with that!

Grapey Walter and Gorilla Blue got a watering tonight. I'm thinking about getting ready for some nutes with Grapey Walter here soon. I'll probably just start with a very small 1/4 or 1/8 strength MegaCrop dose on the next watering. It will probably be at least a couple days until then, and she is already starting on her second node. Don't want to miss the veg window to really push that nitrogen. Since I'm in a pretty neutral soil this round I think I'll be alright feeding the girls sooner than later.

Peep em, and let me know what you think. Til next time... :pass:

Sup guys! So the girls are growing. The only one I would say I'm really looking forward to is the grapey Walter atm. Beast Mode is looking rough, and gorilla blue had a little pause for a few days and really stopped growing. She is over it now and moving along... Idk I might can those two and drop new beans. We will see... For now all stays the same.

Check the girls and let me know what you think!

Girls seem to be doing alright. I don't know if the 24/0 light Cycle is stressing the plants, but I'm debating about bringing it down to 18/6 like I have ran in my previous grows. I thought the 24/0 cycle would be better for growth, but also doesn't allow for any healing during lights out. I may have stressed these plants, and that's why they are growing slower than I would like at the moment. For the time being I'm just going to give it a bit more and keep my fingers crossed.
