New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Alright, Med, you convinced me. In addition to this 16 percent rh I have now! I found a small humidifier on Amazon for $40. It will be here tomorrow. You are right. Small price to pay for a better yield of tasty meds!

You will see. It will pay off. Even bringing the RH up just a touch and having a little more available vapor to get blown around by the fans, the girls will really thank you for that. Environment is the key to good grows. Light, air, food, that's it. 16% would kill any other type of plant except dwc because you are sitting in water, however it is still then going to cause problems and lockouts of certain nutrients somewhere down the line. At least 25 to 30 just to take some stress off, but take a look at the chart. With those high temps, you need high rh. Add towels, the bucket, don't lazy this one away bro, this one you need to get on top of, no joke. Like I said, you are ok now, there are sitting low close to the res, but as they stretch, things and dynamics in the plant will change, air will flow across the leaves more and the transpiration rate will go up, then there will be issues.

Get re done bro, and you will get your lovely smoke for sure!

Oh I think you will!!! Your girls looking beastly already!!!

Thanks Kreature. I guess you never see your own plants that way. They look like runts compared to what I am seeing in you ur journal, as well as some others!

What’s the height today mate .. ur plants r fine bro u still have 6-7 weeks left ul be surprised what u get from them. U don’t av to give big feeds either to get a decent yeild mate just keep a eye on ur ph an I think ul be all good[emoji1][emoji106] the trick for me on my first grow was keep it simple just I little lst and keep em happy mate and I would expect u to do very well [emoji111]️ what is the wattage of ur light man

Budz, i would say one plant is about six inches tall and the other is about an inch shorter. I am using the Kind K3 300 watt LED. Plenty powerful for my small grow room. I am thinking it may be too much when it is lower than it is.

I did it! Thanks for the nudge. I have a cool mist humidifier that should bring up the humidity and maybe bring the temps down a couple degrees. Will report on impact in coming days.

True story bro... I always recommend higher humidity versus lower... I hate when people try to convince others to get dehumidifiers just because humidity is around 60-65% as it’s a waste of money electricity and dehumidifiers produce unneeded heat. All when 60-70% humidity is perfectly acceptable if not recommended. I’ve flowered in 80-90% humidity at times with zero issues it’s all about airflow on the plants and ventilation in general. It’s funny because I’ve had multiple people actually argue with me and tell me I’m wrong and that All my buds will be moldy... even though at that time I time I had already had multiple successful harvests with zero mold or mildew lol. I would just be called a liar even with pics to prove it. I’ve had times where I only needed to water every 8-9 days... talk about low maintenance haha. Anyhow I’m not saying I recommend 80%+ humidity as that can mess with your electronics but 60-70% absolutely. Though aiming for 50-60% may be best.

Sweet! That will definitely help a bit. They will thank you later. It's all part of also why they are staying small. Your light isn't too powerful, and the roots looks healthy, so why are they still little,... too hot and dry for them to grow tall and survive, so they went into self preservation mode and grew small. They will most likely stay a bit on the small side now, but they can still produce some big nugs and super smoke. Get it squared away and they will grow into the environment you make for them. Trust me man, I have seen it many times. Plants will adapt to survive. They will all grow out different, even with just small differences.
I am in a grow now proving that very view. I have one strain all in the same tent, but under different lights each one, and also in different size pots. All the plants came out different. In fact, I will be letting Dutch Passion know that I have found 4 phenotypes in Auto Night Queen, and they say they are only three, and of the three they said exist, I only have one of theirs?? That means there are many more phenotypes than they think.
You have created a different morphed version now as your environment was extreme. I can tell you this too, man, those ladies will produce very potent smoke! Stress early in any plants life, but then recovers nicely and grows out, usually turns out in my experience to be the strongest smoke of them all.

Have fun with that!

Thanks LED guy. I am convinced now. I am ramping my humidifier up as. I need a lot of humidity in there to get anywhere close to the sweet spot mentioned in the chart med forwarded and the article you linked, thnaks for the link by the way. I really appreciate the feedback. As a first grow, I just don't know what I don't know!

Exactly man! I am not really anal about the VPD, but I definitely keep an eye on it. I like it around 75 to 85 in the propagator, then 65 to 75 until week three or four, then I want it between 45 and 60 the rest of the way, but if you have the ventilation, days if it spikes up a bit doesn't freak me out at all!

I like the sound of that. Will now focus on humidity as an offset to the temp. Didn't make that connection before, but your explanation makes perfect sense as to why they are so short at this stage. Hoping for a quick recovery very and that "early stressed smoke" you mention! Right on!

Mate the autos I’ve grown all have different tolerance to light intensity my light is at 30” and there just starting to come around bro
