Hi all! My tent is finally assembled. Now all I need is some growing containers, good soil, and maybe nutrients. Anyways, I ran my tent overnight for the past week to monitor heat. While running it at night with a window cracked the inside temp of the tent was between 75 - 79(winter time). I think I am in need of routing the heat outside. Administering the heat outside by the use of a window is my best option. Can anyone give me some ideas and/or pictures of how this can be done? I need to make this as conspicuous as possible.

It might be difficult to inconspicuously vent heat out a window... How far is the tent from a window? There are a lot of people here who would help but no one can just pull a solution out of the air... we need to know more. Can you help us out? :D

Well, the tent is on the other side of the room. I will need to run ducting which would not be an issue. I love flexible aluminum ducting :-) I am just curious if there was a way to vent it out of a window without having it look like ducting is attached. Maybe I can install a window fan and attach the ducting to it, giving it the illusion of "just a window fan."

That might work. If it's only the view from outside that needs to be inconspicuous, it's better than anything I can think of... but, I would be thinking about coming up with a less conspicuous option, if possible, in the future. You may think about rearranging some things. :peace:

If worse comes to worse I will only enjoy this hobby in the winter time when the temps in the tent can stay at a steady 75 - 79 degrees. Is 79 degrees too hot?

Assuming we're talking Fahrenheit, 79 is absolutely perfect. If you have air conditioning or live somewhere with very moderate summers, it will probably be just as doable in the summer as it is in the winter. In my old grow area, my temps averaged 84f, all the time... the plants did fine. I have a friend whose temps get into the 90's at times, no problem. It's great if we can grow under ideal conditions, but I've never had the opportunity... and I ain't gonna quit growin' over it. LOL :peace:

I did mean Fahrenheit :-). Unfortunately where I live the summers can be brutal. Temps can reach in the 100 range. By the time It gets that hot I will figure out my heat issue. until then, I will brain storm. Thank You for all your help!

Same here. That does not affect anything I said. If you're really concerned, you could put in a small window unit in the room and vent you air out the same window. All the best bro. It's doable. :peace:

If possible I would vent it to another room so the heat can be utilized during the winter. I vent mine into a bathroom, which is the coldest room in the house. Sure helps in the winter. Or buy a vent kit for a clothes dryer. Make it look like you installed a dryer in that room.
