Humidity headache!

Leave the top of your tent unzipped about a quarter way down to see if that helps

If any vents in the ceiling for exhaust open those up so air can go up and out. Might help a lil also. Best of luck.

@Simplicio hey bud do you know that there is a separate vdp chart for veg and flower (i didnt realise for a while)

So at @76f 65%rh is good but in veg but @76f in flower and 50%rh is closer to ideal vdp

Are dessicants any use? There's some heavy chems but a couple of KGS of salt may help in an enclosed space. Maybe something as low tech as a big tray full of salt - that you could swap out and dry, something along those lines. Sounds really challenging - hope you crack this.

Thanks for the info, but yes, I know there is a different VPD chart for flower.
But I don't trust that chart.
I suspect that it is the result of an arbitrary modification to get the lower flowering humidity that old time growers recommend.
It seems illogical that the energy absorbing parts of a flowering leaf behave differently from vegging leaves.
VPD allows the leaves to work at highest efficiency.
I use the unsullied version from seed to harvest, and never worry about bud rot.

But if horticulturists themselves (not stoner science) have produced a different vpd chart for arbitrary flowing of generic crops, then I'd be interested.

Get a big dehu. Set it outside the tent up close to the tent vent. It will block a lot of light. It will pull the humidity out of the tent. I have had that set up for many harvests. No hermes. Better to have an occasional herm than loose everything to rot.

Thanks for all input guys....
Northern lights... I tried opening up a top port but that didn’t do much unfortunately.
We’re experiencing La Niña weather event here in Australia which means wet summer. Absolutely fantastic for the land after the previous summers we’ve had (bar the flooding of course), but it means there’s a lot of moisture in the air with the high temperatures. Moisture is up to 60-70% in the loft area.
henry 50.... I’d go through so much of the stuff, think it would get rather expensive! And want to stay away from as many potential pollutants as possible.
I think the only way to solve it is to buy a large dehumidifier as has been suggested by a few of you. It’s getting a little out of hand though, already have a large dehumidifier running in my little sons and two Ac units. Electricity bill is gonna hurt!
I’m now getting towards the end of week 9, so by the time I receive the unit I’ll be close enough to harvest.
I think the big takeaway here is grow to the right season that suits your location and specific growing space. An attic conversion is not that place at this time of year!
I may also just grow one plant in the 2x4 leaving room for equipment. If I can get 3-4oz off one plant I am more than sweet. Only vape in the evenings once the son is fast asleep and it lasts me a long time.
