New Grower Hubbabubbasmellascope Quantum Board Grow

First picture is of my board to help me keep up with my pH and ppm readings, both IN and OUT. It also list what nutrients and how much are in my water and my fertilizer mix. I didn't pH any of my water or my soil on my first grow...so I'm trying to do it on this one.

I love repurposing things...the second picture is of a laser pointer that I used to center my plants under my Quantum Boards by putting it flat up against the center....I'm sure someone has already thought of this. And the injector I use to water around the seedlings when they are small and I also take the needle off and use it to suck up my runoff from my trays under my plants. Maybe somebody can use these ideas!

Your ladies are looking good! Everything is coming along nicely. Getting all organized feels good too, I’m glad I’m not the only one who writes stuff down!

Rocky 4? # Genetic enhancements make a difference! Lol !

I noticed some fuzzy stuff(some kind of mold/fungus) around my 2 new seedlings' stems where they come thru the soil...and they also don't look very happy. I'm using Alliance Bioligics(bacteria)...could this be the cause of this? Or is it more likely to be from using older seed starter soil that has been opened for 5 months.

What are my options here? Can I treat this or is it more likely that I'm gonna have to chunk this soil?

Fuck! Point a fan at them. Someone else will be along shortly with better advice than that. @Mañ'O'Green ?

After further thinking/inspecting, I am pretty sure it is from me having a cup over them constantly and not giving hardly any fresh air. I used my marinade injector needle to gently pull the small pieces of it from around the stem. I removed cups and have fan blowing more towards them but, not directly at. Maybe it'll be a simple solution! Any more tips or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Cups are the single best cause of "damping off" I only use them in the summer here when relative humidity is below 15% and the seedlings would dry out without them. I aerate them many times a day. That said I think that is mycelium from a fungus. not good but maybe not bad just get that dried out, If the stems of the seedlings shrivel then it is a total loss.

PH run off

Don't use runoff as an indicator for anything other than volume (ie. 10% runoff compared to fertigation volume applied) it is notoriously incorrect for PPMs and PH. Just know that the input is correct. You need to know what the PH is in the root zone where it counts so get a good PH probe an Accurate 8 is what I recommend and take proper care of it.

Thanks for the input! This is the first time I've really ever used cups(3rd time starting seeds). I was just trying it to see if these seedlings seemed to do better in higher humidity then the last two. My humidity is 35-45%...so maybe I just won't use cups ...even though a lot of people have success with them.

Honestly, I dont really know a lot about runoff...I was just measuring it in case I run into some kind of problem and maybe somebody on here could make some sense of it. :) lol
