Grow Room How to battle heat?

So it seems fine for a dry run but i noticed on my caliber 4 the max had gone to about 90 one day. That concerns me so i was thinking and the room i choose is an addition that is not on raised ground, it is on a SLAB foundation. So maybe i cant control heat that well because the heat from the outside earth is heating my slab and transferring through the tent and pot/soil? is that far fetched?
im going to do an experiment and see how hot it gets in the other spare room that is on raised foundation like the rest.

dry ran my 5x5 with 630w cmh, ~100 cfm fan which is only temporary until i get 351 cfm fan. I have a powerful room fan on floor aimed at the light full blast. Inside room is maybe 75-80. I have a 4x2 veg tent in the same room with a 4 bulb t5.
Ran the cmh for about 1.5 hours and it topped out at 95 degrees under the light center on the ground so about 4-5 feet away from the light.
Now i still havent cut an exhaust into my attic so i am venting into an old ac duct vent on ceiling.

So with 3x the cfm and proper exhausting into the attic, do you think it will drop 10 or so degrees? I dont think my plants will survive 95.

This is a dry run so theres no plants or pots. just and empty tent.

should i work on room temp with like an ac or something?

You could splice one of your existing duct lines in the attic & put a wye fitting in between & run you some A/C to your tent that way without adding much expense. A wye fitting & flex duct & some clamps & you're good to go. That's what I'm in the process of doing myself at the moment. Not sure how well it works but I see no reason it wouldn't. I use to install duct work for a living & my dad owned a Heating & AC company so I kind of know it will work. Just not sure how much cooler it will get. I'll know soon.

yea gotcha. thats better than an AC unit. i will try that if a proper attic exhaust vent and proper size fan doesnt do the trick.

Doesn't raise your electric bill none either. That's why I'm doing it & afraid an additional A/C unit might overload the circuit. But I'm running 2000 - 2500 actual watts thru the wall already. Getting some electrical installed soon.

ok got 4x4 in. 630w running. ac infinity set full blast with carbon filter. got one decent sized desk/ room fan aimed right at hood. got clip on tent 6 inch fan oscillating. running about 83 to 84 where the top of a 5 gallon would be. humidity is 35 to 45 so im getting a humidifier tomorrow for raise vapor pressure deficit. thinking maybe of just doing photos in summers to control heat. I have it ducted straight to attic. maybe 630w is a bit much for 4x4.
we will see.

A 630 watt should be perfect for a 4' x 4'. Make note of how you have things right now because when you get into flower this is pretty darn good. I keep my Humidity between 35% - 50% during flower & my temps run 75 - 81 F now with an occasional max temp of 84. I removed the vent grill from the A/C in the room & connected a 6" x 6" x 6" Wye fitting & ran the duct to my tent. 1/2 the air now cools the inside of my tent & so far it's working fine. This is in a 5' x 10' x 7' tent. In about 2 weeks I'll be starting a grow journal & there will be plenty of pics & descriptions included. Gonna do 9 plants (6 Auto & 2 Photo & a Re-Veg Photo Big Bud). I just re-did my entire set up & at this point I've got about $6,000 invested. I just hope it was worth it. Should be interesting.
Anyway, it sounds like you're getting things together pretty good. You should have a good grow since you're taking the time to do things right.

Yea so it tops out right around 85-89 depending on whats the most accurate gauge i have and where they are in tent.
We are having record highs already where i am, close to 3 digits alrdy. Gonna improve my ac system for the house maybe and also buy a 315w just to lower that heat a few degrees.
Ill keep the 630w for flowering later in year since it seems everyone has no issues with my heat and humidity in flowering.

its like sometimes you read and watch and listen and im just o man these plants are strong.
then other times stuff makes me say man these plants are fragile babies.

I have a feeling you live near by. Temps here have been in the 90's but had a cool down for this week anyway. I'm in the Phoenix area. With your current temps & humidity I would consider adding Co2. You're in a really good range for that & with that light you are probably up to PAR. There's your easy solution ! 84 - 95 F with 50% - 70% R.H. & I believe it's 1500 PAR at the Canopy & you are perfect for Co2. Solves your problem, Cuts the grow time down by about 2 weeks & you get bigger harvests.

nah im in florida, i hear it actually gets hotter in AZ which amazes me.
Ill have to look at C02 systems then too! never used C02
